one thing ive learned with girls is to make sure youre being yourself 100%...its horrible being someone you arent infront of parents ...trust me brother...there are a lot more fish in the sea, and seeing as she ended it through email, you can find much better...Be strong and dont give in...dont call and cut off all contacts...your TCC brothers are behind yah!!!!

Well then it might be a good thing that the girl ended it (WAIT before you flame me! lol) She ended it because her mom hates you, but if she really loved you then would she really have ended it?? Kinda like Romeo and Juliet, their families hated each other, but they still saw each other because they loved each other. Hey, don't take it too far and kill yourselves though!!
My girlfriend's entire family absolutely detests me and I've been going out with her for 3 years! I'm fully aware that they don't like me and they're fully aware that she's going out with me too (coz I'm not Jewish).
It might also be what age you're at too. "Love" might be something too serious for her which is why family came before a boy if you're younger, but maybe if you're older than love would probably come first. Maybe she just wasn't ready for it? Since you don't know for sure, maybe you should just flat out ask her... but then that might burn some bridges by bringing up bad stuff so maybe not!
This stuff's just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.
As for coping, like others have said, be friends with her. That's all you can do right now, you can't force her to go out with her. She made a choice to end it and surely, it wasn't something she did on a whim. She likely thought it over long and hard before having to write such an e-mail. (that is kinda cold though... through e-mail??) Just get out there, you never know when the "right" one will come along and surely they aren't gonna find you when you're sitting at home, playing Playstation in your underpants and drooling over the characters from Dead or Alive! lol
