Im going to the hilton hotel tommorow night, how is this restaurant? if im dressed up with a girl to the nines, is it an intimate environment or a place where familes let kids run wild, baloons tied to chairs...basically a typical family restaraunt?
I want a nice view of the falls, nice music, nice decore and to just be alone with who im with...can I get that there?

Well I can answer this for you considering I work for the casino
The Grand Buffet is very good. Compareable to the mandarin alot of seafood and alot of meat. As for kids there are no kids. you have to be 19 and older to eat at the buffet. The View is also nice. It does get fairly busy though, and I belive there is no dress code there.
Hope this helps

ok well around the casino there really is not tho much fine dining. Alot of places like the Keg and TGI Fridays.. If you are looking for something really good Cococabanas its just down the street from the hilton. Not cocoa's its a new resturant. Ive sent alot of customers there and they came back more than happy. I finally took my g/f there and it was great. about 35.00 a person and u get stuffed. Nice enviroment, and some entertainment.
also in the casino we have a fine resturant called 17 Noir very good, dress code needed i believe. Great views and very romantic just the prices are a bit high ive been told
hope this helps

mandarin is dirty. the waiter took a sip of coke from my friend's glass before putting it down. he thought no one could see him from where he was.

I wouldnt scrape the grand buffet idea. There is a lot of selection there, despite what someone said...plus its beautiful inside. Alos despite what people have said, there are many fine dining restaurants in Niagara Falls. All the major hotels in the area have world class fine dinning restaurants inside them. Though they will be very pricey imo(atleast $120+ for 2).
If you are going to go do something special, I say skip the chain restaurants. You can do that at home, right? Depending on the restaurants, even the chains have inflated prices. TGIFridays and Dennys are 2 of the most expensive places in town. I have not been to the Keg yet, so I am not sure. If you want a chain, there is an Outback steakhouse just down the street near the Radisson Hotel(use to work at the Radisson heh) and the food is always great and so is the service.
I say go for the grand buffet...make the casino a day trip. lots of shops for the little lady to look at, as well. Another idea would be to visit Niagara On the Lake...beautiful place with world class dining and wineries.
Dont be shy to ask the conceirge or front desk any questions you may have. But always ask the valet guys...seriously...because the are never commisson biased and valet guys just generally know whats going on heh.
