ok, so I just picked up the chinese version. I could not wait. The first car I bought was a used 92 civic sir just like mine except mine is just and si. I tuned it up a bit and now having an amazing time with this game. There are so many cars, to bad the only apperance changes are spoilers and rims.
The used cars change every certain amount of days... and some have more km than others and special deals come up where the car only has 10 km. The km on the car affect the preformance aswell.
Of course I knew my first car would be a honda, I was looking in the used car lot and decided between a 92 lude si vtec, 89 crx sir, 95 Sir h/b, or the 92 sir h/b with more km but cheaper which left me more money for upgrades.
This game is well worth picking up when it does come out. I will also be getting the english version from EB because I preordered it a long time ago

it'd be cool if they allowed engine swaps... i remember a gran turismo clone for dreamcast had that option, you could even build custom cars and engines... but i suppose that would give the cheap japanese cars a substancial advantage over the big fish in the game

man i preordered this game since '03. i can't wait to go used car shopping in that game. i loved that feature in GT2 and which GT3 lacked. this game is going to be the best racing game on console until the next GT comes out.

Maybe that's when Blockbuster will have it available to rent? Coz sometimes a game will come out at like Future Shop or EB where you can buy it, but Blockbuster won't get it for a couple of days/week.

I know that that was the case with The Getaway: Black Monday; game was released but Blockbuster didn't have it out until a couple of days after.

what exactly is b-spec mode? is that like you acting as a team owner and guiding and instructing your driver during races?

also, is there a drift / drag competitions? and how do u access it?

mechatune..... b spec is like you are he pit crew chief..... you tell the driver how hard to push, when to conserve fuel/tires, or when to push it to the limit..... you can also set the speed of the race so the 24 hour endurance race only takes like 3 hours.....

no drift comp... but there is a las vegas drag strip.... not sure if you can actually have career mode races there thouhg...

there is a D1 skyline 4 door in there... it has neons too....

i beleive theres is alos taniguchi's hks silvia in the game, ive seen pics, not sure if its in the final amercian version, but if nomura's car is also there there might be more

yea i called EB games and they said its coming out feb. 22/05 still, and in the future shop its the feb 24 and best buy is feb 23

Yeah, I have had it since late DEC (the Japanese version).

I have not play it too much as its HUGE and I have too much to do (School, work).

So far Im about 25% into it.

but the best part of the game is that it supports 1080i and 480i so if you have a HTDV (Like me) and use conponant cables (yep, check) then the graphics are GREAT!!! Im actualy watching replays now It looks that good

hehehe...i preordered the game for SiR_YO. he was ecstatic that i got it for him. good to hear EB will have it on the 22nd...that way WE...er...i mean HE wont have to wait much longer
