Ok some of you know me some of you dont. This applies mainly to those who do. Anyways this is the story, Im getting another car (James dont even say another word, cuz I know if you see this you are gonna be like oh **** now whats your new name gonna be), so I opted for the G35 coupe Im waiting on a call from the bank and dealer. I could have ordered the STI but wanted something luxurious well kinda. The STI is nice and all dont get me wrong but I think I have the good looking fast cars covered for now. So, I was curious called up a couple dealers in regards to the SRT4. Once again for those who know me get this they all pretty much implied that I was some punk kid who wants to just test drive the car because its something I cant afford and would only wish for my apparent "**** box" cracker jack toy car to be. So fine whatever, I play along to see what else they could say. They think this car is aimed primarily at wealthy drivers or some crap like that I dont know what their standpoint is. But basically each dealer recieved one or maybe 2 srt4's and one crossfire.

In terms of what they say I understand they might not be able to allow for test drives and what not due to the lack of inventory. However, how can they distinguish a serious buyer? How can they imply that some people by their standards arent fit to drive such a vehicle which they preach to be so damn powerful. Its a nice car nothing I would mod but whatever. To make a long story short by no means do not think I am boasting about myself, but I could buy that if I wanted to. And their "high class" attitude towards that car is very disgusting and in my opinion drives potential buyers away. Mopar canada is limiting the prodcution of these vehicles unlike in the states. For what reason I dont know, will it drive up sales? Maybe but not sure as I have only seen a blue one on the street. Is it fast? Yes but our current standards of cars in that class. Reliability is a great concern with that car.

Anyways, one dealer I spilled to and said what I drive he then and only then took me seriously and said it could be arranged for me to test drive the show room car, this being the only one they have.

End result: you will see...maybe

I've seen two SRT4s in Windsor so far, and a pile of G35 (both coupes and sedans). I got jerked around when I went to buy my car... I wanted a VW but they treated me like a little kid (which I was - I was 17) so I went to Honda and got me a Civic instead. Best thing that ever happened

you should take the cash to buy the car in and then go straight to the manager buy a SRT4 and not let another on the show room floor get the commission that aught to teach them.

You and Type R Boy on CSI will have the same cars.

G35 Coupe in White = Classy/professional/sophisticated.

You'll walk out of that car, and people will have to take a double take to confirm that its yours....but then again, you've always had this reaction with your cars.

You have to let them no in a polite way that you are interested in the car. Of course there going to think your a kid window shopping. I was 19 when I bought the Del Sol and they thought I was kidding when I said I wanted to buy it. But just keep your self firm and let them know. The majority age group you see buying/driving G35s is later 20's, 30's etc. Dont be surprised if they look at you as a kid. I know your not, but compared to the last 40+ guy who bought one, you are.

Dont bother with the srt. 30G and slow. Internal gate turbo the size of a donut. 17" wheels, too big. At 2900, its heavy. All the magazines are printing off high 13 low 14 times, I think its BS. I saw 2-3 srt at cayouga and neither one was hitting faster then a 14.5. Funny. The car is over rated like alot of new cars that come out. Go for the G35, youll love it.

im not sure whats srt4 but the new turbo neon is sick and fast i think you should go with that but its your choice

Mike, as always thanks for the info. I know about the cars no doubt but I just want others takes on the vehicles. Well, the SRT was on a whim this was AFTER I called you about the Infiniti.

Yeah I really wanted the dark silver G35. The black one is ok but I hate swirls. The white is pimpin kinda Benzy-ish since I dont want the C32.

JJ sorry dude cant do the strut bars unless you want me to order a ARC or cusco or spoon or J's one for you.

Toyman at U of T some guy drives a nice three fiddy with the nismo kit on it 350 emblems off replaced with Fairlady Z. Stock rims and exhuast and I dont think its lowered yet either.
