Guitar guys...which acoustic

My bro is asking for an acoustic for xmas, dont want to buy him something crappy, but nothing over the top. A good starting guitar that will also be enjoyable to play if he picks it up and sticks with it...

If you go to a real music store (like a long and mcquade) they should be able to help you find something nice...they don't have that many bad guitars...just don't buy it at walmart or costco, lol

I agree, this way they can recommend a brand that is not expensive but also got some quality. If he is a starter, you want to get him something in case he decides later on, he isn't really into it.

Mine is a Yamaha. Otherwise I would stick with a Seagull.
Larivee or Martin are dream guitars.

They are okay for budget, but they are plastic and you just don't get that rich tone/resonance from plastic.

ok so he ended up getting a Crafter Solid Top from Strings Attached in Streetsville.

The guys there said it was a good little guitar that would keep him happy for a long time.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
