....Hamilton to Toronto....

So I was at a conference yesterday all day in Toronto. I am soooo happy that I do not have to commute that everyday. I left my house in stoney creek at 7:00am and arrived at the conference at 9:50am. I could not believe the traffic.

I ended up being 50mins late for the conference but since the go-train was down or something, it began late as well.

Anyone else have that commute everyday? How can you do it?

ps: I was at the Carlu

hate TO with a passion

wshenever I work down there I know Its going to take me at least an hour to get home everyday.

Plus I can't take the stress from the traffic and shoddy drivers, it would kill me after awhile.

I drive from Oakville to Etobicoke(basically the border of Toronto) everyday, the traffic some days are ok, somedays they really suck, if I stay at this job after my contract, we're going to look at moving closer. I love Oakville, maybe if they up my pay after the contract period I'll still drive it. It's not THAT bad. I couldnt imagine going downtown though. I hate it down there.

Most travel into Toronto because they make more money working downtown and live in the burbs b/c it's cheaper for a house out there.

Yeah I know that, but I think that my sanity is worth more than a house.

lol we do the opposite... I live in etobicoke and travel to oakville for school. lol I think ive seen your car a few times in the AM.

lucky thing is though im going the opposite way of traffic each way so I do not get stuck in any traffic.

I live in Barrie and work right downtown TO
The commute isn't that bad.
I leave home at 6:20 get to the Go Train at 7:06 make it to work by 7:45. I sleep on the Go Train which is soooo nice!
Home is the same way. The pay is worth it and the stress is minimal... I love the Go Train and when it comes to Barrie its going to be even shorter!

I'm inclined to agree with you Matt.

I like TO, but the commute would be a supreme headache and stress unlimited. Yet, so many people do it and find that it's worth their while. I give them credit, because it's not for everyone...

If you would have left like 30 minutes earlier you probably would have made it with no problems.
