Harassing Cell Phone Calls
Hey Everyone, Im just wondering if anyone works for Bell, Rogers or Telus in the Cell phone department. In short, over the last 2-3 months my gf has been getting phone calls at about 1am-3am pretty much on every weekend...She suspects its her ex-bf calling trying to cause ****...Now before I have to take matters into my own hands, Im just wondering what else can be done. She tried contacting Telus to see if they can tell her the incoming phone number, but because its showing up as a Restricted Number they told her they are unable to tell her the number. Is this true? Is there anything else that can be done?
She is pretty sure its him calling because she answered the phone one night but didnt say anything and he was saying "Hey, Hey, hello" and she recongnized his voice...
What can be done other than taking matters into my own hands which i really dont want to do...???

as for looking up that info I could if it was a bell cell.... but the most I could do is speak to where the calls were coming from and ask that they stop because of complains. I would not disclose that info ...because I value my job....
there is a feature on cellular plans at bell that allow you to block incomming calls from certain numbers whether they are resticted number or not.... I'd check with telus to see if they have a similar service....
anyways I hope this helps

well, from my experience, if you get the Police involved, things get resolved rather quickly. My mom (a teacher) was getting harassed by one of her students (so we think).
We called the cops and asked them what could be done. The officer called us back a few times getting more information, and eventually told us that they knew where the calls were coming from. We had two options: to block calls from that restricted number, or to pursue further legal action. We chose the former. Case closed.

Damn, that sucks. Ive had a few of those phone calls late at night. But its probably someone I know, just drunk trying to cause havic.
If its blocked, I highly doubt you would be able to trace the number, unless you know someone on the inside.

Had a similar problem in the past, cops did nothing about it, I knew someone who worked for a phone service. Found out address and #, gave her a chance, then took matter in my own hands, knocked on her door at 2 in the morning and gave it to her parents. I'll stop the story there and it solved my problems.
Cops just called the person and told them to stop, then they continued to do so and cops still did nothing.
Give it a shot though, at least you can get the message threw to the retard to stop the bs or action will be taken. If they don't, sue and get a restraining order

"

stupid people can say ****, all over the place!
hey 1sicciv, this has happened to my buddy too, but its all bullshit and jealousy!
i say change the number and keep it low pro, nothing will happen to you or your g/f, if anything were to happen, the guy is prolly stalkin you, and legal action can be pursued!
