Have you ever ...

Have you ever had something that was not related to you or your life affect on the deepest part of your soul? Where you get that twinge in the heart?

Here is a story, and it is about a former member of TCC. I was going through former moderator applications and came across his, and I still felt it now two years later. Same thing last year when coming across the member profile.

This is about username CivicOverdose. I must have met him, though I did not remember what he looked like and what he drove. I cannot recall his first name now, but I do know it.

In June of 2004, I recieved and email from CivicOverdose's friends looking for information about Darknights that year. Asking us if it was possible for them to bring CivicOverdose's car with TCC to the show. That is when they told me, "He has lost his fight with cancer, but he really wanted to show his car with TCC this year at Darknights, and that is what he was looking forward to before he died." I cried when I read that. Actually I'm welling up now when I write it. I did not really know him, and I do not remember hearing that he was fighting cancer before this email, yet his life and death really tugged at my heart.

RIP CivicOverdose.

I can't say if I can relate to any stories, but in general, I feel something when I read or heard of someone passed away.

I just did when I read your post Michelle.

I agree with N_D.

I feel sad when I hear on the news that people have been shot or something. I think of their husbands and wives and children or any other family.

I have a few friends who are suffering from different types of cancer. And I dont know what I would do if I lost any of them. They all contribute to different parts of my life and I am lucky to know them (you know who you are)

Nice Post Michelle.
