Have you seen this Civic? - Scarborough Shootings...

Who knows, maybe someone knows this car, and might be able to help put a stop to these shootings.

Quoted from the Toronto Star 3/7/2004:

Jayvien Piper was shot just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday in the McCowan Rd. and Sandhurst Circle area. So far this year, there have been 12 slayings in Toronto, with 31 still under investigation from last year.

Piper was on his way home from night school on Wednesday when a man with a gun chased him down.

He was shot in the head and died in Sunnybrook hospital two days later."We're continuing to interview family and friends about his background to see if there is anything that is part of this," Detective Rudy Pasini said yesterday.

"He was coming from night school," he added. "He was trying to get his Grade 12 to go to college."

In the Piper case, detectives are interested in talking to anyone who may have seen a 1995 or 1996 dark green two-door Honda Civic with a light interior and a silver coloured muffler that extends several inches past the rear bumper.

The car was parked on Sandhurst Circle just east of McCowan Rd. at the time of Piper's shooting.

The suspect got into the car after shooting Piper at approximately 10:50 p.m. Wednesday.

If you've seen this car, please contact Pasini at 416-808-7409.

Anyone find it odd they're looking for a 95 or 96 considering they're different generations?

Actually it is a big difference, several usually means three or more, like a couple means two. Example, if someone asks for several ketchup packets are you gonna give them seven or three?:working:

id say 5 at least....
if they wanted 2 or three....thats a fairly small number
and they woudl say "2 or three"
but several usually means quite a few.....
more than 5 at least....
and since its so losely used....it could even mean more than 7

Yeah man!
And I also find it odd that they said look out for a green civic with loud exhaust. (How many civics are green and with exhaust!!? Im sure people are gonna be hasseled until they find the right one).

i live a few minutes away from the shooting scene ... i attended the high school across from the incident ... it's scary concidering my younger brother and sister both go to that school now and this area is bad enough ... no wonder alot of people want to get out of scarbough and move further north ... by the way i drive a fixed up dark green 4dr civic and hopefully i won't get hassled by any cops ...
