FYI!
I watched a show on TV testing the fibre optics and clarity in all different HDMI cables. It did'nt matter if they where $1 or $200 they all worked the same.

HDMI is copper based, so its digital but over a copper medium, unless you use a specialty HDMI over optical unit.
