HELP! Date Ideas???

Any recommendations of good, clean, cheap quality restaurants in the gta? the west end of toronto or mississauga hopefully.

looking to spend 8-12 per dinner per person...we are small eaters, desired total would be around 35 bucks.

atmosphere is needed, it should be somewhat classy.

trying to get better at this whole dinner date thing..lol help a brother out.

also..any ideas for any other evening activities? ie. pool, movies, or something more original! and if so..where?

btw im in need of a smoke free place to play pool, that is economical..in mississauga...if you know of such a place, let me know!

i suck at being creative, help me!

How about some Japanese?
Hinote Sushi at the corner of Bristol and Mavis (the little plaza that has Price Chopper, and Shoppers, TD) would be a great choice...quiet, non-smoking and different...
Pick whatever you like from the menu that will fit your budget.

After the meal, take her to the bubble tea place( I think the name is BubbleTea Republic) @ the corner of Burnhamthrope and Creditview (another Price Chopper in the plaza) it is smoke-free, you can chit chat till 1 am (they also have all kinds of chesses [what I like the most...marble chess, where you can impress the girl on how smart you are], card games that you can borrow).

ok ok new standards...10-14 a plate, simple stuff, not like stake..we are simple, small eaters.. and around 40 with tip..does that free up the spectrum?

that sushi place in missy, do they have other japanese foods, or mostly just sushi..

yeah im interested in trying different types of foods, but i dont want trashy atmosphere...there are a lot of good quality food places, but with 0 atmosphere..it feels like your in a lunchroom or something

after dinner...any ideas for entertainment?

im thinking of going out to streetsville, seems nice there, lots of nice places

They have a lot more than Sushi & Sashimi...
And sure it is quiet and nice with good quality.

Streetsville doesn't have much unless you wanna go to the pub. But they are noisy and smokey...
Well, forgot to mentioned, corner of Main & Queen @ streetsville. there's a place have 2 for 1 wings Tuesday. Pretty nice if they let you sit by the windows at the front facing Queen Street. But go there early...

How about playdium? But it is not romantic at all!

A nice walk under the moon light would be excellent but it is getting colder now.

As for dinner, generally, 40 to 50 for 2 people should get you some quality food.

personally, at least once i'll go to yorkdale mall with a gurl. There you can:

1)go to yorkdale mall; parking $0

2)go window shopping $0

3)go to either Milestones or Casey to Eat $40

4)go to Movies (matinee) $23

and there you have a nice evening at low cost with low gas consumption

quick_time has the right Idea there but I'd not do that for a first date... window shoping might turn into you holding more boxes and bags then you thought yourself capable of....

but it does show trust to risk a wallet like that...

anyways what sort of atmosphere are you looking for?

i dont know if they have either of these restraunts out there, but in waterdown/burlington there is one called turtle jax, i used to work there and the food is awesome... also philthy mcnasties....(sp) you can get a pitcher of beer for $7 certain days...

i though for a girl to be into that it would have to be an aquired taste i suppose... if all else fails go for a walk on the beach

Fawk, I went to dinner by myself the other evening... (don't ask, I was hungry, my friends are broke )

coffee, escargo, and a tuna steak ... $70 it cost me the mashed potatos that came with the tuna steak were the best damn thing I've ever tasted though. It was worth it.

Damn, I went to Milestone's downtown location on Saturday night and I was $90 poorer by the time we left. At least I had some leftovers that I got to eat for lunch the next day!

Try Canyon Creek. I know that they're a steakhouse, but I went there before and remember thinking that it was decently priced for what I got.

Spikey, that's a lot of coin... was that for each person??

Actually, that $70 includes a $25 tip.... so maybe it's not so bad, if I remember right, my food total was just about $45

25bucks for the 50$ check???

Wish my customers also paying me that kind of tip!
BTW, I work in a Chinese restaurant part-time, too bad it is in Guelph! Otherwise I would invite you all to go there, so I can make some good tips!

Korean barbeque.. Fairly Cheap, maybe not the best atmosphere, but the uniqueness of sitting and cookin the food together is a good possbility. You can spend a good amount of time there, laff it up.. it's different, unlike just ordering "food".. creative? i guess.

But I don't think the girl would appreciate the smokey smells on their clothes or hair afterward.

Not to mention a Goodbye Kiss or French Kiss after the BBQ.
