Help Me!!!!!!!!!

Computer Problem...

So I just logged on to my computer, (Im running XP), and then all the sudden a message box popped up saying that my AVG had detected a virus. It gives you the options to heal and to move to the vault. So I tried to hit heal and it said Can't Heal. So I moved it to the vault. I had to restart my computer after doing so, so I restart and turn it back on and log back on, right when I log back on 4 more pop up.

I dont know why its doing this.

But its a trojan.horse.downloader.generic.

I did a system restore back to May 1st, when everything was okay. I hope its okay now...

anyone know what to do if it comes back, how do I remove it??

thanks,

Connie

update the virus program, and do a full scan, thats pretty much all you can do...

I noticed that Matthew and it sucks, but you dont have to add to the madness, they are people here who do know alot about computers and are willing to help.

try nod32

i find its much more thorough than AVG free

you can also try spybot, adaware and a couple other powerful tools

try botting up in safe mode and doing the scan in there

I had to re format my CPU twice last year due to a virus that I could not remove. I lost all of my wedding pics, music, etc. No more **** for me, since.
