EL parts are the same as the civic, except the body parts (and some others)....

I'd go EL, but the Accord would be decent also, the EL would probably get better millage...

I believe they are the same as any other 6th Gen Civic...

an EL would probably be the closest equivalent to your EX-V, SOHC Vtec engine , sunroof (option), power stuff, etc....

97 accord ex-r you mean the coupe version?

how much do u want to spend in total just to purchase the car?

imo i wouldnt go with any of those choices.

simply because:

EL: theft magnet, resale value dropped on them hardcore about a year ago

Accord: its a coupe and too heavy. personally i feel the 5th gen coupe should be only 4 doors.

civic sedan ek: best choice out of all of them and easiest to find parts for however every sedan you look at with the "jdm" theme are exactly the same.

get a 2000 civic sir coupe.
if your into coupes and two doors.

you can get it for about 2 grand at the auction with no engine, drop a c5 in there for about another 4 and then with the rest of the money do mods to it.

whats the deal with these auctions you speak of? do you have to be a car dealer or something to get into them?

If your loking for a clean car, i'd go with the El, overall there a pretty nice 4 door. And parts for it should be the same as a Ek civic, i dont see them being alot more expensive
