That's bullshit, managers don't even make that much. I worked at a grocery store for 4 years and finally quit at $7.75 an hour, you get a raise every 650 hours of work, a .20 cent raise for all employees including cashiers.

I work at costco as a part time baker.....$16.10 p/hr.....$4.00 premimum on sundays.

If your thinking about a trade try becoming a mechanical contractor. I'm a member of local 46 currently in my second year and I make 18/h. Side jobs is where the money is at though, last year alone I did about 15k worth of work on the side. My uncle, who has his plumbers and gas ticket..made 90 k last year and thats with taking one month off.
