High speed internet @ my apartment
Ok I live in Scarb in an apt. Now my buddy pays the rogers bill and he has not paid in months, its under his name.
If I wanna get highspeed but not under rogers what other options do i have besides Bell DSL. is there anybody who offers cheap highspeed @ like 20-30 a month?
Thanks.

im with bell. i was paying like $48/month and was getting pissed. i called them up one day and told them 3web offered the same service for $25/month.
they ended up lowering my charge to the same and locked the rate for 12 months.

I work for Bell Sympatico and I wouldn't even recommend my worst enemy to get their service! The speeds suck, people don't realize what they've got unless they do a speed test but I can assure you, they're most likely getting one-third of what they're paying for! The regular HSE is "up to 3 megs" and unless the person lives right next to the Central Office they'll be lucky if they get 1.5 megs! Plus there are so many frequent outages, retarded techs, etc it just aint worth the hassle. Go with Rogers, or anyone else!

I've always had a steady 375KB/sec from Bell so I don't know what you're talking about. Living in Toronto, I'd rather be with Bell whos speed stays the same rather then Rogers whos speed is worse then a 56k modem at night when everyones on an downloading.

Had rogers then when they imposed the cap and kept giving me warnings I canceled on them and switch to Bell. Never been more happier , no cap and speeds were good. But I moved into a new house where they don't offer Bell yet , had to switch back to Rogers for now.

DSL speed is very dependent on how far you are from the CO. I switched to Bell a while back, but found out that I was the furthest "recommended" limit from the CO. My speeds were as bad as dialup. Needless to say, I switched back to Rogers. Cable has been very good lately though as I don't notice much slowdown anymore or outages.

I used to have COGEBLOW CABLE (cogeco) it was the worst internet service I had ever had. I had the service for 3 yrs and for the amount of times it was down it wasnt even worth it. I have bell dsl and its great. Never EVER goes down and my speeds are consistant and faster than my cable was.
