hiking clothing

anyone recommend anything for running through the rain forest?

i'm thinking dirt bike pants might be good, but something more appropriate (and cheaper) would be good.

You may want to wear some type of rain gear, like the stuff made by helle hansen.

Anything breathable. Gortex is always good. I bike all the time (road & trails) and it makes a hugh difference.
As for shops in your budget, any sporting goods store sells stuff like that.

I'd think dirt biking pant's would be too heavy for running...

i need something that i can wear in very hot temps as well... i think that dirt bike pants have the vents.. goretex pants i will definitely look into.

markworkwarehouse i'm not the biggest fan of. mostly carpenter pants and skilled labourer clothing?

i need something a ninja would wear if he was going skiing in the desert.

Oh, just a reminder...

A heavier 7.62mm round will penetrate foliage/small tress/kevlar/flesh/etc much more effectively then a 5.56mm or 9mm round. At least be prepared.

no worries, i won't be needing any guns. I'm going to costa rica, renting a car, and trailblazing. the woman is aware if dead Canadians are on the news, it's probably us.

Or she's gonna complain, and I'm gonna end up on a tour with 30 people walking on concrete bridges.

As long as I get in a bit of stupidity, I'm good.

Was lost for a good while in some forest in BC last time I went hiking without a compass, map, or clue. We eventually found a road and some couple drove us back to were our car was.

on a somewhat related note, JAN 25 looks good.
