best pic I seen so far was a group of black folk comin out of a sports store with boxes of nike shoes in hand and armfulls of jerseys and other apparel...to be honest, I'd take things from stores, might aswell...not like I'm gonna be workin anytime soon after disaster like this...I wouldnt steal from houses and people...but stores to me are fair game

i was watching cnn thoughout the whole ordeal and i seen more people of "coloured" skin looting and breaking into cars and **** stealing electronics then white people. matter of fact one of the streets only had black people there i believe it was like 7th channel or something like that the street was called.

imo i could care less in a situation like this its survival of the fittest. eventhough stealing electronics is not really necessary and chances are they arent going to work lol but oh well whatever.

I've been watching CNN alot and I have noticed the looting. Black and white. Why people are stealing TV's computers and stuff is beyond me. There is no power, so none of the stuff will work anyway.

The Coast Guard, Military and the Cops are giving up the search and rescue stuff because of the craziness going on. People are stealing guns and shooting. Apparently there was a report of a sniper shootiing at people who were being evacuated from of of the hospitals.

People should be helping each other not stealing and killing each other.

you are in New Orleans... your house has been distroyed... you decide to loot (good or bad doesn't matter at the moment) you grab a few TVs and some Jewelery. also you grab food and water... ok so you and your friends got all this stuff. Where do you put it? how do you ensure it stays yours? thats what I don't get. all this stuff is going missing from stores but where is it getting put...

them were one of the first places to get hit...people used forklifts to raise the metal storm shutters and gates to break into various places...hell, I wouldnt loot the gun store...I'd stay at the gunstore!!!!

I just hope that those dummies stealing guns doesn't take a shot at the wrong group of people. The US Military is deploying 5000 combat ready Military Police and some of the helicopters I've seen on CNN are special ops. Hopefully the whole situation won't turn to anarchy.

If they find the items floating on water, then yes, it is finding. But really, it is wording and maybe that is the case. Who knows. But if we take the words straight from the article, perhaps there is a slightly hint of racism flavour.

But given the situation, you have just lost everything, the house, car(s), perhaps even family member(s), what else have you got to lose? It is very hard for us to imagine what is going on down there. To us, it is news, the aftermath of some natural disaster. To them, it is living hell.

No money, no food, you have to stay alive. This is fvcking horrible.
