there not over priced there under rated . to maybe young ppl think you need 12's or 15's to have it sound good . if u spend a few k on a bose speaker system u will be very happy. all i can say is go listen to them . go to a smaller shop where it will be quiet and u can really hear them .

lol Bose is garbage. You should get PSB speakers, they are excellent budget speakers in the high end and Canadian made. Paradigm is good too.

lol if you think bose is garbage then go get your ears checked. Bose is really good. Yeah its pricey and yeah its not the BEST. Polk Audio makes really good speakers for the price and they are pretty crisp sounding. If ur looking for a sub woofer, Valodyne makes WICKED subs. I have a 10" valodyne and its amazing best subwoofer ive ever owned. Your going to get a lot of personal opinions and biasises so they best thing to do is go into a shop and hear them for urself and choose which ones are pleasing to your ears.

Paradigm is the **** for the price. JL Audio and Cerwin Vega are also great products.

I have a set of Energy EXL's. They're alright, though id rather have a set of Paradigm's with a JL sub.

If you're crazy, Nuance and Thiel are awesome and stupid expensive.

Bose is over rated and over priced.

haha ok fine, Bose is incredible for people who have never heard excellent sound. if you made the statements you're making here regarding Bose in a real audiophile forum, you'd get laughed right off your internet connection. the roar of laughter would literally blow your modem right off its mount.

anyways, don't ask questions in here... go to a real sound forum.

besides, are you looking for surround or you looking for stereo. a wise man once said to me that surround sound is just loud telly, stereo is the choice of audiophiles. this man can be found here: The Online Journal for the Serious Audiophile — Audiophilia
