you can't sue her for your dog running onto the road, i agree that this was an unfortunate accident that occured, but even if she did stop, she'd be the one taking your information, and you'd be lucky if she wasnt suing you for damages the dog did to the car.

when dealing with powerful dogs, you shouldnt never buy leashes and harnesses form local pet stores. i have a german shepherd as well and do intenisive training, everything you buy should be made of high quality leather, and all buckles and rings should be brass or nickle. leashes should not have any stitching as that creates weak points.

i truly feel sorry for you, and i feel your loss, but by trying to find this person is only added trouble for you.

i do have proper leashes and collars... shes is still a baby so my dad used the harness...and rthe smaller leash...all my adult dogs have pinch collars and nylon leahes...those will never break... i am upset at the bitc h cuz she didn't even stop and say sorry..she juss kept driving over her..she would have survived if she had stopped as soon as she hit her...the dog went under the van.........well c..i am a person that lives on revenge..i will not sleep untel i know somethign has happend 2 this ****en lady..either 1 of her kids die..or her.. i will not feel no petty for her.... so i hope her kids get run over by a speeding truck ..and left on the road for dead...

ummm 2 u kid is more... 2 me ..my dogs r my kid..i can tell u dont have a dog...or at least a good dog..... and i can tell u diff havn't owned a pitbull.....i bet u think that they attack there owners and lil kids......so how come nune of the dogs i have bred have even put here teeth on a person...thanx for ur post though..

and lets c if u guys can understand y shes means so much...she as the last litter i bred...and kept the biggest female...she a spitting image of both her mom and dad...and would b somethign 2 talk about...and as soon as the pups were given 2 freinds and family... i fixed the parents in thinkin that no need 2 breed no more cuz i have the last pittbull pup bred in ont legally

now let me explain my kid > dog comment

lets say you have a baby and a dog, both need to go to the hospital/animal hospital. you don't have time to drop off both, as one will die and nobody is able to help you. who do you take first?

thanx ReD-eF..i can tell u feel the same way i do about my dogs..so u understand how much it hurts knowing the only thing i carry 2 bed is this picture i have in my head of her..and in the morning i will b wakeing up and walkin down the stairs alone..forever... does any1 happen 2 know of any1 who needs help gettin rid of a litter... I didn't read anymore than the first 3 post's, but, if I remember correctly there is some sort of law, which states that if you hit a can't and don't stop, even to at least look for the cat (in the event it manages to run away) you could get charged. I'm like 85% sure of something along the lines for a law like that, and so if I am right and that does exist then that should also imply for dogs.
Also you might wanna get in touch with the company that made your dog's leash, possibly faulty product.


And this one might interest you, if you go to those machine they have in the mall's that you can re-new your plates at, and you hit the button to re-new plates and enter the plate number of the bitch that hit your dog, it should give you the info. If I remember correctly once you enter your plate number the machine show's you the address info and ask's you if it's correct. Or did they change it? Anyway worth a try I think!

well c i dont have kids so it dont matter 2 me.....and likeing pitts and having 1 is totaly diff.....my dogs have saved me more then 5 times...and if it wasn't for them..i wouldn't b here...i would b dead or in jail... and its not liek i juss went 2 the pet store and bought her.....I BRED HER..she is my kid...i was there wen her mother gave birth at 1.30 am..and was there till 9 wen all the pups were out..and i bottle fed them and slept in the puppy box with them for 2 months.... i'm not flamin u...i'm juss hsowing u its the same thing 2 me..my dogs r my kids...

lol well I can't have kids, and I tell everyone all the time, If my dog could live forever I wouldn't even have kids. He really is my life saver, long and personal story, but I feel for you White_sleeper. I just dont think your going to get much "sympathy" further than the dog being hit and gone. I mean people are upset for you and they probably wish It didnt happen but it did, you know what I mean.

Just remember her in your memories I had two of my other dogs gone with in the last six months, one got hit by a car, and the other had liver cancer and we had to put her to sleep. It was hard, but I remember all the good things about her and Im happy that they are not suffering.

connie ..if u were here rite now..i would hug u and kiss u.... u seem 2 b the only 1 that understand wat i'm goin through...its not even bin 24 hrs yet since it happend... and it doesn't look like i will get over her that easly...i have owend many dogs in my time...many diff breeds..but once u get a pitbull u will understand the diff....its like going from a geo metro and to a mustang cobra gt...theres a BIG diff between breeds

LOL thanks, but Im married and I do understand what your going through. Just take it easy relax, and get it out (however you deal with sadness) And then keep yourself busy. Sadly as time goes by you begin to forget. Heres my two pooches that I lost in the last six months, first the small one was hit by a car, and I found her (viva) It was so sad and then the big one was the one with liver cancer (cha-cha) my dog since I was 10.




The little dog is Nizmo's sister (my dog in the avatar) so it was especially sad cause I pictured it as my dog, and I was bawlling because I couldn't even immagine if that was my dog.
