How do I find out manfacturer of my LCD monitor?

I've got a dell lcd and i was just wanting to know who manufactured or which tube its using.

anyone know how? Its the 1907fp if it helps.

1907FP is dell's lcd but don't know who makes the tube inside...could be a different company though

it's either AUO or Samsung

haven't found out which though, sorry. It's between those two.

LCD monitors dont have a tube inside....CRT ones do

he means the backlight.. it looks like a very thin flourescent tube.. the backlight burning out is the main source of failure for LCD screens, and usually it is pretty easy to replace if you know what you are doing.

well I didn't want to correct him although I knew what he was talking about, it's the LCD Panel; which is made by another company.

yes im asking about the panel. I know that for my particular monitor theres the two AUO or Samsung, but i wanna know which one.

damn what a fast response.

I realize that they use both but i want to find out which one i have the AUO or Samsung as some have said the Samsung, for some odd reason, has slightly better performance and reliablility than the AUO.

unless you have an insider at dell, tracking it down by serial number will be difficult.

why not do the easiest thing? open the damn thing up and look. the manufaturer will print the details on the components.
