How do you guys work downtown?

I have been working at 151 Front street for the last few days and I absolute hate it. Traffic sucks, parking sucks, people suck.

My sister works for an accounting firm located on Adelaide/Queen and she ABSOLUTLY hated it. She takes the subway, but if she had to park, it would have taken her like 20 minutes to walk to her office.

my brother works downtown. lives at bay and bloor. takes the subway I guess. don't you know matt, then you have a commercial vehicle you need to load/unload, you can park it anywhere.

I've been making quite a few trips to the downtown area for meetings lately. $22 parking. 3.50 every 20 minutes... Gotta love it.. Good thing it's all company paid.

i dont mind it so much, but that's only cuz i come in before or after rush hour and leave after rush hour plus my parking is pretty cheap for downtown. but i wouldnt work 9-5 downtown...if i had to take a downtown job, i'd move downtown. i dont plan on working downtown cuz it'a a pain in the ****.

Gotta do what cha gotta do...work at bloor and jarvis, so off the go line, subway sucks and car gets broken into in their lots...so drive and park underground, usually a 45 min commute in the morning from scarborough

Hey Simon, do you still have those fake handicapped stickers I can put on my windshield? I wouldn't mind borrowing your '92 Windstar with that lift on the back for the wheelchair...I would be able to park it anywhere. No tickets!!!

You are right next to the rogers centre then?? or close to it? I was at 61 Front St (union station east end) for four years and it was great cuz i always took the subway down.

im still downtown but now on the GO...which is still convenient as i dont have to drive.

I use to work downtown, did it for 10 years. When I lived at my uncles in Scarborough, I use to drive to the subway (Kennedy station) and do that route, not knowing I could have taken the GO train, I had just moved here from Montreal. Then I lived in East York and took the subway from Woodbine, that was no fun as the subway car by that time was full. I worked at First Canadian place btw.

When I moved to Pape and Cosburn, that was the ish! I took the bus to Bayview station, hopped on the street car and that was it. Best way imo to travel, more relaxed and I was alway guaranteed a seat!

When I moved to Ajax, took the GO

No longer downtown, drive everyday to Vic park and Steeles, when I am not working at home..............................

Like I am now!
