Unhappy The How-To in laundry !

This is really sad but I need to find out how to do laundry. My parents went away this week and I need some clean clothes. I know the basics as in whites go with whites and colours go with colours. Jeans usually cold water. But I do not know how to use the washing machine or what to add to the water a that stuff. Again, I know this is sad, but some input is GREAT

The way I do it to save my clothes, I wash everything inside out, seperate colors and whites... dirty and not so dirty. I use a little bit of tide for the relatively clean clothes that just need refreshing.

I put water in first... cold for colors, warm if the clothes are dirty. Add detergent and let it disolve... then add the clothes and let it run the regular cycle. Super dirty clothes that I work on cars in, I use more detergent and hot water... use the double rinse cycle. Don't worry about softener or anything... you're only doing it one time, so it's no biggie.

(1) sort clothes..colors, whites, towels ect.
(2) put clothes in washer with detergent (1/2 cup for small load - 3/4 to 1 cup for large)
(3) start machine - Normal wash...for regular clothes.
(4) put in dryer for 35- 45 minutes or until dry

Colors - i'd use cold water
Whites - i'd use friggin hot

It is really easy, like a walk in the park. Just follow the instruction above and your whites should come out white...

So you will be home alone? **** this calls for a TCC Laundry Party!

ok dude Gatherer's guide to doing laundry quickly for people that are rushed:

step one take empty laundry basket to room

step two fill laundry basket with dirty clothes ... no need to separate here

step three take laundry to washing machine ...

step four stuff all clothes from basket into washing machine ... again don't bother to separate

step five add detergent (helps if it's tide with color gaurd)

step six start washing mahine .... don't worry about settings when your mom probably doesn't change them and neither do you

step 7 when washing machine has finished take clothes out and place in drier add fabic sheet

step 8 start drier

step 9 remove clothes all done

please note the following ... I use Tide with color gaurd to not worry about separating colors and doing twice as much work

also I have never had whites come out blended with another color say like red and become pink... also I have never had clothes shrink on me. and I also only own 1 laundry basket (plus one outfit) of clothes so that I can just cycle the clothes quickly and not worry ....

I hope this helps it is the fastest and most hassle free way I do laundry

Steve if theres one thing to remember its with colours use cold water with detergent and for whites use warm water, bleech and detergent.

Hehe, Stef taught me to do laundry, she's rubbing off on me, notice I now wear glasses.

Just go to a laundry mat Steve. It's a great place to pick up women, and they can help to show you how to do it.

I watched 40 Days and 40 Nights and the Doritos commercial .

And as you can see in this pic, the girls seem to be able to do the slpits.
