In school during those exam/cram period less than 15 hrs per week was the norm and it doesn't help that your mind is working overtime. I was usually borderline getting sick just from stress alone.

That and the odd all nighter. I remember once during school I went to start work on a project @7am to work on a project(plastic injection mould design) and didn't leave there till 5:30 am the next day.
I went home, had a shower and went to work for 7am the same day. Worked till 5pm. Definately crashed after that.

My record is 53 hours straight up, slept for 11, and another straight 48. What a rush.

in college with a huge 41 page report due on a major project I spent 91 hours awake working on it ... (well working on it and going to school and eating....) I finished the report and passed out ...

when I woke up it took word 3 hours to correct the spelling mistakes...

^^^^Thats awesome!

Last fall i spent 5 days getting about 3-4 hours sleep a day and spending the rest doing autocad. Then after the fifth day i stayed in the school lab (didn't go home, didn't brush my teeth, didn't shower, etc...) for close to 3 days doing more drafting. Half way through the last night i had a literal nervous brakdown and thought i was going to fail. I was pacing around, freakin out...it was f@cked...

I got sick as a dog the following week, but in the end I got an A, so it was worth it.

there is absolutely no reason for which I'd miss sleep. I dun care if the world is coming to an end, I'm getting my 6 hrs of sleep. I've pulled all nighters before or whatever, but if I don't feel good I'll go to sleep.

I never sleep. I have the worst insomnia. I get like 3-4 hours max/night. I have to be passing out dead tired to fall asleep, and that usually doesn't happen till about 4 or 5 am.

SooOoO very true, i'm only 19, still very young, but my friends and i use to always stay out and up every weekend during high school all night almost all the time. . cause we all live close to each other like 5mins or less and we've been friends since grade one basically.

I was on the train with one of them a week ago, and we were talking about this exact same thing how we can hardly stay up past 12 anymore.

i need a reason to stay up now
like a party or goin to a club or something...easy enough i can stay up...cause i got alcohol surgin through me. . lol

if i worked any night shifts....i wouldn't be able to make it. . Night is for sleeping and that'z the way it should be kept...no workin for me during the night...only partying or sleeping.
