how to remove oil?

its a long story but basically i have a bit of oil in my hatch right now... as some know i dont have interior so its basically just oil on metal.... theres a small puddle of it like where the spare tire goes... anyways whats the best way to get that out??

haha straw.... i just made a hole and out it went... at least it wasn't dirty oil

He had a tranny in the back last night, so it probably leaked through the board.

Rick, you really drilled your car? lol Just use cloth to soak it up and use some soap detergent to clean it afterwards.

no tranny... there was a lot of speculation about that one... its was a z6 bottom end... that had some oil left in... it was relatively clean oil so it wasn't to bad...

but i didn't drill it... like you know how there is the tow hook at the back? well for some reason mine has two smaller ones on either side of the real hook... so i just took out one... leaving two holes then jacked the other side of the car up.... much easier then rags... plus it was like 1.5-2L of oil so i'd need a lot of rags

i was thinkin of using my shop vac but then the inside of the tube would ozze oil and thats not good for business.... could've done the coin op though... think those ****ers could suck up oil though?


ah well tomorrow i'm removing my new spare clutch and see what shape that and the flywheel is it... perhaps a lightened flywheel coming up

If you just jacked up your car and let the oil go out of your car like that, are we gonna get a "How do I remove oil from my driveway?" question now?

i had an oil pan under the hole obviously... come on now... my dad would shoot me if i got any oil on the drive way... lots dripped in the garage but thats fine....
