how stupid are theifs these days??
ok heres the story... i'm parked in an underground parking complex for my buddies apartments... so ya i parked there at maybe 2pm today.... beside my buddies crx... so then i come back down to leave and i notice a smashed window... i'm thinking good stuff!!
so walk towards my car in dismay and look inside... deck still in, my nice new speakers still in, amp still in, all wires still in, even all my cds were still in there... so what did they take your asking??just my sub box... with two crappy jensen subs... net value of maybe $40 tops....
and as an added bonus of doing business with them they left me a screw driver for my troubles.... i can't even comprehend how stupid theives are these days.... like they leave everything of value (which i am thankful for) and just take a crappy box with even crappier subs in it.... i dont even care about the subs its more the fact i'm have to waste a day now cleaning all the glass from my car....
anyways that is my story and i'm sticken to it

I remember when mine got broken in a month ago...they took all my CDs and Minidiscs as well scratched my car...
What so funny is...unless the thief were Chinese...otherwise, the Chinese music that they took from me would be useless.
As for my Minidisc...I wonder if they know what it is or actually having a MD Player for it...

Ya, you don't want to be on the wrong end of the baton in that case!
Hopefully they catch someone as a result of the screwdriver that was left behind though!!

as a positive, they left the expensive stuff... last time sucked cause they punked all my welding gear which i could not get back... at least this time the car doesn't have to go into a shop and i still have all my stuff... minus about $40 worth of subs

I wish the city and province got tougher on thieves than on speeders (not talking about erratic or careless driving).
I guess theres no revenue from catching thieves.

yep alarm was triggered twice... so it went off for like 5 mins... then went off again presumably right after or something....
about the report by phone... they wanted to do that but when i told them ya the thief was a dumbass and left there screw driver a guy came down... he was actually a cool cop.... i hope they can lift prints from the screwdriver

the funny thing is that you'd need 4 different screw drivers to get the amp out... and even the sub box you'd need i think 3 screw drivers cause i used different screws all over... but they just ripped that out... so the box would have some nasty scratched along the sides....

yea honestly that is such a pissoff... PunkinDrublic was at my place when it happened... he was leaving and glass was just all over the place... the worst part is replacing the glass is probably more then the $hit that they took out of the car. I was super pissed off b/c it was probably someone in my building or maybe some of the loser lurkers here... Now I know that not everyone who isn't a member is a thief.. but I am positive that there are some punks that come on here finding out what ppl have to rip them off .. just as there are cops on this forum aswell... it's just a big pissoff to see my best bud's car with glass all over the place for 2 shitty subs and a box... sorry about the rant .. still kinda pissed off b/c it coulda been anyone who got hit and no one decerves it... one day I hope to catch someone breaking into a car so I can smash there face in with a tire iron....

sorry to hear bro, that's just bullshit. Same thing happened to me too when I had my old car 2 years ago, the ******* ******** broke my little window in the back b/c it was a 4 door and they took nothing, they tried taking the deck out with a freaking screwdriver and figured out they're brain dead morons b/c I made a bracket so it's impossible to take out unless u take the concole apart, broke the face off, got pissed and then they kicked my fog lights and broke the mounts for them so they were garbage along with my glass and a tint for them.
Same with my civic also, before I had my alarm they tried taking it again, the same deck b/c I fixed it from before and of course I put my little brackets in it again and they bent the **** out of my console and no deck was coming out so they took my burnt cd's and my case
People like this **** the **** out of me and they all deserve to have their hands cut off and their ***** hung on a tree :fustrated

well $30 later and about 100 kms of driving and i got my new window... just put it in 15 mins ago... its actually really easy... 2 little bolts... one is tricky but meh window is in and rick is happy....
i would at least feel good if the theives had at least a little bit of skill... like if they could open my locks without smashing glass disarm the alarm and do all that then i'd still be pissed but it would be like some idiot who doesn't know what the f he is doing.... and its a civic like come on they are some of the easiest cars to open with a coat hanger....
i'd love to catch someone though, even if it wasn't my car... just take a bat to the knees then he'll never be able to run again... he'll just be able to limp around...
