I think HP is one of hte best laptop makers out there. You must've got a lemon. It happens to every manufacturer.
I made the mistake of getting hte macbook pro when it first came out. It still runs like a champ but was an expensive buy. From now on I'm gonna be looking on kijij and craigslist for deals. The new macbooks are coming out so there should be some old ones going for cheap real soon.

I bought the extended warantee for my HP last month, I took the first one back cuz it was a lemon, they replaced it with the next model up from the one I originally bought, free of charge, brand new. I LOVE IT
