i had my car for almost a month now (short 2 days)
at first i was too busy with work and **** with all the server problems and power failure...and these new virus'
and i coudlnt take it in to get it looked at.
it worked fine...
xept was popping outta 5th

i FINALLY took it in.
its been in the shop for... over 2 weeks now!!
there taking FOREVER!!!
they took a week to even get started on it...
then finally last wednesday they got it apart.
then they took the tranny apart on thursday
then friday they ordered the parts.
mind u.......i TOLD them it wasnt a stock engine!
so today he calls......
"ya, ur parts finally came in. but there all wrong!"
for **** sake. i told them the engie wasnt stock!
i was looking forward to having my car by friday to drive up to wasaga
but i guess thats not happening.
so he said hes ordering the new parts now.
and he mentioned that the old ones are non refundable...
but thats there problem.
the shitty part....its a family friends shop who doing it for me.
hes giving me a good deal on the labour and cost price for the parts
so its not like i can even complain that there taking long.

this sux.
im alwys telling ppl...."ya itll be ready by ____" and it never is...
it just keeps taking longer and longer.
jeez.

n e way....just wanted to bish about it on here cuz im pissed
it sux to have a car for a month and to not have driven it once.
and its not some shitty ugly car either.

Trannies are always a bitch to fix... shim the case, check clearance, make sure all the little springs and clips are in the proper spots... man... I would NOT wanna be doing too much tranny work.

Sorry to hear about your woes, but don't ever think that you'd have better luck with something other than a Civic.

collect the parts ...

tow the car to Buddah's shop...

beg him to reassemble everything....



finding a good shop is like finding a needle in a hay stack unless your like me and walk to a good shop I went to Buddah's

no, i dont really hate civics lol

and its not a crappy mechanic either....
there really good. just that....hes doing it for me for like 1/3 of the price cuz a family friend ownz the shop.
charging me 30 an hour for labour and cost price on the parts
so....its not like i can really pressure him to have it done u know?
and i guess since his not making **** off me hes gonna put full paying customers ahead
so iono....
i dont really hate civics tho. love em.
and the guy whos doing me the favour is a really good guy.
he ownz AAMCO in new market and he understands my financial situation
so.........basically........theres no one for me to complain to exept you guys.

fyi - i needed 2 syncros and all new bearings and a new clutch and a machined fly wheel and their installing a short shifter
ill post how much i end up paying when i do pay

id get a nice racing clutch. and a type R tranny.
but money is short....and its gonna stop comming in 2 weeks from now when i start uni.
