i have lost all my faith in humanity.....

do peoples word not mean anything anymore?
as some of you may have noticed I've been trying to sell my TJ for awhile now on here jeepkings, UofJ and Autotrader. now i understand people call and email just cuz but when someone calls on a monday night at 8pm and says im going to stop by at noon tuesday after talking to you for 20 minutes you would assume they would show up right? of course not. or the guy who i offer to take my Jeep out of storage and drive it to work (100km) only for me to call him and him tell me "oh ya i was gonna call you, i bought another vehicle sorry" thanx dick (guess i shoulda known when he asked if my jeep was good on gas) so after all of this i decide i should go have a few beers with a "friend" and after i go to the bank this guy stops me (which puts me on edge as i just took out some money) and tells me a sob story about his wifes paycheck not going into the bank and whatever i politely tell him i cant help him but i look over and hes driving a ZJ(strike one). he tells me his wife is a nurse and her pay didnt go into their account properly(strike 2 as i work in a hospital also) he tells me he had just taken his son to tryouts for the belleville bulls and they cant get home. i look in the back and theres goalie equiptment(strike 3 as i am also a goalie) so he unintentionally plays on my heart strings and i feel for the guy. he offers me his watch, his wifes RN license, his license as collateral for 20$. i decide to help the guy out and give him 20$ ( i was only gonna buy beer with it anyways) so he basically hugs me (creepy) takes down my name and cell number and promises to return the 20$ the next day at my work by 8pm. (fade to next day)........he doesnt show surprise. 20$ is no big deal but if some stranger helped me out like that i would go out of my way to at least keep my word. on top of that some 76 year old lady bit me and kicked me in the nuts at work. so i have some girl coming to see my jeep sunday at noon and i offered to bring it to work again (100km again) so if she doesnt show expect to find me perched on top of a bell tower wearing nothing but a trench coat with a high powered rifle in hand picking off people. the end

did you take the collateral? you should have if you didn't

my policy is never help out a stranger if it costs me anything except maybe my time

as for the car thing, boo hoo. ive had people not show up to look at my car, i've had someone say they would buy my car, and the day she was supposed to pick it, she called me saying she couldn't buy it and asked for her $500 deposit back, but i told her consider it a lesson learned, MAKE SURE YOU"RE ABLE TO BUY THE ****ING CAR BEFORE YOU SAY YOU WILL AND LEAVE A DEPOSIT. though i was a little pissed, it was the quickest $500 i ever made

If the guy asked for money, I rather him not saying he will pay me back the next day because that is just plain stupid. What is it, some sympathy conforting words to make me believe that he is going to do so? I rather him take the money, say thank you and be gone. If he needs 20 bucks tonight, he ain't gonna have 20 bucks to pay me back the next day.

If I were you, the moment I hear those words, I will take my 20 dollar back and walk away. That showed no respect and pure untruthfulness.

But I hope your day can be better tomorrow.

oh man, that is some ****ty week you are having. I also have sold a couple of cars, and everytime I do, I get people like that. You just gotta learn to live with the fact that there are people out there that don't really give a sh%t about others. Hope you have a better day tomorrow
