I Was Soooo Close
so was listnin to Flow this morning and anyone who listens knows that they have this Door-To-Desitny thing goin on .. pick one of 4 doors and u win a prize .. grand prize being a trip to Barbados ... So the que to call comes up so im like hey .. why the hell not ... .. it starts rinigng ... Sweeeeeet .. so im thinkin ... hmm arite im for sure pickin my lucky number 3 .. .. ringing ringing ringing .. then i hear an answer .. at this point im certain that im goin thru to pick a door .... only to be told i was caller 8 !!! gawd dammit ... i was 1 caller away ... the real kick in the pants was the girl that did get thru picked door #3 and won the damn trip .. 
soo close but soo farrrr ....
anyone ever win anything off the radio before .. i have many times but nothing HUGE .. few concert tixx... cds... club tixx... nothing big ..

that is pretty close.... I tryed once to call in.... didn't work so I don't bother anymore.

Hey JoonyaSI,
Years ago, I won by calling the Edge and identifying the words to an EMF song, "Unbelieveable", which was pretty unbelieveable, since it's usually so difficult to get through with the call. The prize wasn't anything huge, dinner tkts or something...the best part was the response when I got to the office and others had heard me on the radio..."was that u?
" Gotta love trivia, but it drives u crazy when u know the answer but others are getting through and then getting it wrong!... 
The other time I won something was by calling into...you ready...The Weather Network...on some early morning programming, probably no one else even bothered to call in, haha...but hey, I won the prize which was a ride in a hot-air balloon.
There, a whole post without the word 'monosyllabic'--d'oh!!
