Importfest

i dont know whats going on with it now.. its going downhill alot over the years... luckly i only paid 10 bux for 2 tickets off some dude outside..

the ladies.. perfect.. the cars?? not soo good..
i saw 1 car there.. it was a white integra i believe.. and part of the front fender was all mashed up..
this 1 dude had the lowrider and the security came over when he started jumping it.. like its a car show! what the hell? guys can so in there with bags n lay it out n pick it up again but this guy cant use his hydros?

and alot of rice this year too..

i saw maybe 4 or 5 cars in there worth taking pics of ie. the 91 hatch with the headlite n tail light conversion.. full fiberglass interior..
or the crx with the light conversions.. glass interior.. and wicked *** paintjob
i saw a sweet idea with the tv's too on a 93 hatch.. comming off the door panels like mirrors on the inside... looked pretty slick..

i duno i think that just bolting a few things on a car and saying its "done up" is a joke.. look.. i got eurolites and 1 piece headlights.. a spoiler..and my car is lowered.. lets put some cotton around and in my car to give it the "cloud affect"... the idea sucked at darknights... it sucks at importfest

just my opinions on this show... but im sure dam glad i didnt pay the full price

i know what you mean, there were a few nice cars in there, but alot of it wasn't great. I did notice that all of the v-dubs were really tastefully done! right before that line of excellent to dirty, get it out of the stadium now. pics will probably be up soon from some people

importfest = ricefest, you can ask my mom or dad or girlfirned or any of my friends. i always referred to it as ricefest cuz i knew what was gonna be there. i just didnt expect so much of it.

some cars were just such crappy crap/
example:
- bone stock cars with like only rims, a drop, a system and a screen
- cars that had such crappy work done to them: cracks, bad paint jobs, fender gaps, lines not matching up at all
- rice rice rice!!! oh my oh my so much rice!!

i dont understand how some of the cars got into it.

its funny how when you walk into the door and walk around its like a bunch of places selling parts and stuff, and when you walk down to the main part your hit with....

THE MOSH PIT OF RICE!!!!!!!!!!

i felt some sort of energy go through my body when i entered the mosh pit of rice. it was overwhelming, i had a hard time breathing and.. oh nevermind, it was just the crappy live entertainment.

which alley did they find those guys in? it was very amusing to me

lol, the live entertainment was just as bad, if not worse then many of the UGLY cars with ****ty paint jobs. there were many cars that we so obviously accident cars and were fixed very poorly. in one case, the rad support was so mangled on one orange EF that it was rediculous how the idiot the fixed it didn't replace it. it wasnt even smoothed out after their pathetic attempt at hammering it back to close to it's original shape. but slap a b16 in that POS and it's a show car all of a sudden it's a show quality car. you guys might think i am hating on people's car, but no one can honestly look at them and tell me they like all of the cars there.

What i did have respect for is some of the nice clean porches, the two black 3 series BMWs in the exhibit area close to the entrance, the DC2 with the JDM front end and k20a2, some nice vw's and a few others i am forgetting to mention (not too many others though)

There should be some sort of screening process for the people that enter their cars into the show where judges or officials prejudge the cars to screen out the pieces of crap that somehow make it into importfest. Just my two cents.

oh those were the days when things got good, then things got carried away!

i wouldnt mind hitting up NOPI or a nice clean JDM cars!

sounds like they let in anybody these days

I went about 2 years ago and was very disappointed. A lot of the custom work done to the cars was very poor. Something I would expect from a rich high school know-it-all-but-all-talk kid.

it was funny, there was a cavalier and the guy took out the roof inside his car and made a cheap fiberglass/bondo mix... threw some LED's on it and slapped it back in... looked horrible, as well with the civic right after it who had vice grips holding up his lambo doors... very sad to see.

correct me if im wrong, but a bone stock car, lowered with rims, wouldnt that be a clean car? or would u prefer a body kit and wing?
