i didnt read the whole post, but a lot of you guys dont even know what your talking about...

If you have no clue about importing, why give false information? Im talking about the guy who said the only way to import them is to get the car to the US then bring it up here.

I know one person who imports and no, thats not true at all.

So please, if your not sure about something, just dont reply.

From what I understand of it they run it leaner and drop the total flow into the cylinders.

its a pain , this importing biz.
be prepared to dish out large sums of money
i had to pay 440USD for the port entry fees.
then i had to pay 25 dollars to send my BOL to the shipping company
then the CFIA charged me 100USD extra
and plus i rented a vehicle to do all the running around
now i am stuck at the customs , and the ppl there dont know what they are talking about .
you see i am a permanent resident. and she told me i can only import for personal use and not for sale??
i think she was retarded or something .
i needed to get pappers translated from arabic to english , i mean come on open your eyes its written in every other document that the cars belong to me!!!

im going tomorow to the customs but i doubt that i would be able to clear them by tomorow , and guess what after friday i have to pay 65 usd for container late fees.

If you are going to import , i say you better know eactly what you are doing , these people will make sure that you waste your time running around in circles so you end up paying late fees.

its far from over yet , but i will keep you posted on my progress.

They charge all these fees in order to discourage people from profitting /making a business out of importing cars from other countries for the soul purpose of making $$$...

canada is so stupid ! If there is a demand , why not make it easier !!!!!!!!!!!!

Canada wants to keep people money invested into our products, not other countries...

So I went to the U.S. and bought my own Crx.

in reality it doesnt make a large enough impact on the economy to have laws as strict as they are on the cars, lets face it even if it was easy to bring them in, the cars are still only a very niche market, my mom isnt willing to dfrive on the right, or by a car sight unseen which is what happens in most cases, so the actual affect on the net import/exports is minimal

it would be nice if canada had a free port.

i dont know , but is it true that halifax port is the second largest in N.America?

i cant believe that this tiny port is the second largest.

i am just waiting for a response from the customs inspection team right now. seems like everything is finally in order.
