What's that song called that's playing in that pop up player? I've heard it so many times but never got the name of it.
House music all night long
Oh yah forgot about the Zoo Bar

They played that type of music at those places, but only on certain nights, and not always on the same night.
The Box was owned by a friend (he used to work at Star Sound....remember that store?) I remember spinning at the place a few times. It was an after hours club, so it really didn't get hopping until around 1-2 am. I used to remember having to take the bus on Young street all the way home.....not a fun thing to do at 4-5 am with 2 crates of records. If I missed the bus, I would have to wait 45min - 1 hour for the next one. Not fun, but the pay was good.
Hey Slvr-Bullet, if you like the old stuff, you should see the white label 12" records I still have, from way back when I used to spin. Some of them don't have anything written on them (hence the name, white label), and some were promo only 12's, so I have no way I knowing the names of the songs.
94EG6HB and I were talking about some of the older songs the other night. Ah, the memories.
I also would of mentioned The Marquee, but they only had one night a week that they played house and techno, but that wasn't every week. More like every other week....more if they had a special DJ from Chigago, or Detriot show up. Most nights, they played Gino....aka....Euro.
I remember seeing some of the greats (here in T.O. and some across the boarder)....ie.....D Mob, Silk, Perez, a my 2 favorites Richie Rich, and Frankie Knuckles. These guys were known more for the house tunes the produced/played, but a few had techno ones too.
Do you remeber a song called Tricky Disco, by a group of the same name?

I just had a flood of memories from most of those places.
GoGos on Thursdays and Sundays.
Oz at basically anytime.
23Hop... woohoo!
Did anyone mention Powerbar?
Okay so who's bringing the turntables and the old school House beats to a meet in the spring?
If Oz does have a reunion, I'm there! Don't think I'll make Industry though.
I've got a few songs from back in tha day... still lookin for a few more (not sure of the names though).
