Interview etiquette

1) Should you remove your suit jacket in an interview?
2) What is the safest suit color to wear? Black suit w/ white shirt? what color tie?

I would personally keep my jacket on and wear a blk suit, white shirt, pink tie.... (trump stylez)

you should try and match the atmosphere of the place you are applying to, and the position.

there is no correct answer that applys to all or even 'most' jobs.

Though every scenario is different, I will attempt to answer your questions with my perspective:

1) Most cases I would leave the jacket/blazer on. Walk in with your top button done up, when you sit down undo the top button, then when you go to get up button up again. If its too warm, I would politely let the interviewer know and proceed to take my jacket off. The way I see it is that it shows an aura of confidence in a person when they can do something like that. You feel comfortable in your surroundings, and your not intimidated into feeling uncomfortable by anyone.

2. The safest bet is a white shirt with a pointed collar, and a grey or navy suit. Dont go for any patterns. Black or brown shoes, doesn't matter, but brown tends to be more stylish.

But as I've mentioned it will depend on the place. For example I work in a slightly more casual environment where "style" is important, so in my situation a suit and tie would be a bit overkill. But you can apply the same principals from above by wearing a white v-neck shirt, tailored navy blazer, and some neat accessories.

It depends on what you are applying for. There is no need to wear suit and tie if you are applying for a job as a mechanic.
