Men are generally laid back and don't measure you the same way.

KEY WORD - GENERALLY!!
i totally agree. dealing with professional men is much easier than dealing with professional women. men are so much more laid back, so much easier to be yourself with and to have a good conversation with. with women, it takes more time and more contact before they warm up to you...they tend to be very stern...like they're waiting for you to say the wrong thing.

interview tips... it really depends on the job. know the company, know the industry, be up on the latest news. know your resume inside and out too... don't get caught having to think about what you have on the resume cuz it'll make it seem like your resume is half made up. <--- seems simple, but under pressure you might forget about something you wrote on your resume.

as for jokes etc. just take your cue from the interviewers. if they're formal and proper, leave the jokes in the waiting room. if you find it an informal atmosphere, go ahead and show you fit into their corporate culture and you are a pleasure to work with.

1. never put your 3 page resume in a binder. imagine how big of a pissoff it would be to deal with such a bigger stack if everyone put it in a binder. colour laser it on good paper - use colour sparing. ie - everything black, except some the headings, make them a very dark colour.

2. asking people their biggest weakness is a bad interviewer question. you are asking the person to be honest and hurt themselves, or lie to you, as you assume they would. i would have no problem commenting on the stupidity of the question and perhaps add that i'm blunt and honest. brutally.
