overall iphone wipes the bb..... as long as its cracked if its not.. its useless like a blackberry.....

as for comparing.. the two..... in the words of apple.... "there's an app for that"
ping is a knock-off of bbm... and it suck, not comparable

if i wanted to buy a phone to play video games, you can buy a psp, game boy or whatever those little things are called

... if you say the iphone is all full of win because the games you download, then are we comparing phones or are we just talking about playing games?

Anyways, blackberry > ifail any day

BB has the ability to copy phone numbers to the sim card, ifail cannot
BB is ready to go out of the box, ifail cannot, you have to connect it to itunes
BB is easier to view word, excel, powerpoint
BB is more Microsoft friendly, ifail only has a ripoff version of msn
BB is female friendly, you cannot type on ifail with nails
BB is easier to reboot the phone
BB has fewer software upgrades
BB has an introduction walk through when you first turn on the phone
BB has a LED light to notify you when you miss a call, text, email etc.
BB has a camera flas
BB is WAY more durable

Best part of a BB, it has expandable memory

And overall the BB is just cool

iPhone does not need the sim card, your contacts automatically sync with your computer using itunes or using google contacts.
iPhone is usually activated at the store, no need to connect to itunes to activate it
iPhone is a LOT easier to read or edit word, excel,or powerpoint because it has a MUCH larger screen and you can just point at what you want to edit, you dont have to search around with a track ball that gets dirty and fails to work.
iPhone can be used by all people that dont have hooker nails.
iPhone is very easy to reboot...hold the power button, slide to turn off. slide to turn off is a safety feature unlike blackberrys where you hold the power button and it just turns off, which can happen in your pocket.
iPhone has lots of software updates, this means it has good support.
iPhone is so easy to use it doesnt require a tutorial
iPhone v4 has a flash unlike most blackberrys. Only some blackberrys have flash.
iPhone is quite durable considering its made out of glass.
iPhone has 32gb of storage, blackberrys cant even hold that much.

overall any phone is usually a good phone. Blackberrys are just fine for people that throw their phones around and need the durability. iPhones are great for everyone else. After you use the keyboard for a week or 2 your just as fast or faster than any blackberry.

i've walked on my blackberry, and even half backed up over it (by accident) and its still 100% fine

Best part of a BB, it has expandable memory

also true, i could get any sized sd card and it could hold more than the iphone
jess, you have my vote

On the contrary:

-usually activated at the store means there are exceptions
-edit word, excel, ppt? last time i had my iphone, back in OCT of 2009, i couldn't do any of that with an un-jailbroken iphone.
most new blackberry's now have optical trackpads now.
-bb's can be used by all people, including hookers
-bb's don't have a power button anymore, you have to hold the end call button, and even then, that doesn't completely turn the phone off, it goes to "sleep". you can lock the phone, you can set to auto-lock the phone (just like nokias), or you can standby it.
-software updates doesn't necessarily mean it has good support. it could mean that there are a lot of issues and the company is trying to address them.
-it is easy to use, but most people around a certain age, can't quite grasp the fact that it's touch screen. they'd rather have a phone that you can physically press buttons, to make sure its working.
-all the new models have flash memory (if that's what you're talking about; it must be, because there is no such thing as flash video on an iphone)
-my bb can handle 32gb of external memory (ie micro sd card).

i agree with you that if you do use the keyboard for about 2 weeks, you do become like a pro with it.
Also, when i had my iphone 3g (which i still do), i hated those odd times that it freeze. it would be like a FML moment! I hear the new 3g s's are better but still have issues. and one of the things i don't like about iphones is that you cant do a frigid battery pull, even to just restart it once in a while.

blah blah blah, iphones are for a.d.d. kids who need to be entertained all the time, blackberries are for users with needs other than "cool" apps like make things shake on the screen.

its funny cuz you can tell who the people are who have an iphone, the only defeinse for iphone preference is a.d.d not our fault you blackberry users are retards lol.....

as for the powerpoint, word and excel... its done and you can do it on your iphone..... can you get tom tom for blackberry nope.. but its ok you got google maps... lol.... if the companies thought they could make good money off of the blackberry they would be workign on apps for it.. which they are not..... most companies are focused on the iphone... fact is.. ever tried watching a movie or a tv show on a blackberry.. oh yah.. forgot the screen too small...lol and the speakers on them suck.... as for your "thermal" track pads what a great way to attempt to have the phone more interactive..... lol it worked so well with there little clicker the storm

as for those sticking up for the iphone... might wanna rethink your thoughts lol... more updates doesnt mean its better just means apple trying to keep people from cracking the phone.... as for the flash.... iphone 4g will have it.... for now you need an app for that.... and the only blackberry that doesnt have a flash is the pearl flip...... as for the battery comments... your right.. u can swap the battery... but when you dont have a huge screen and have a keyboard and aren't playing games... you shouldnt have to replace the battery it should last......

besides.... as for the psp comment why have three devices when you have one that does it all...... duh

bottom line is iphone users prefer the iphone bb users prefer the bb.... its a preference.... but u want to play on msn.. get a bb u want a phone that does it all iphone...

-yes, there are sometimes thats it not activated at the store, when the employee's are too retarded to operate a simple program (itunes)
-yes, you can edit word, excel, ect on the iphone without having to jailbreak it
-the majority of people that own blackberrys right now have curve's or pearls, and both of them have the power button that turns off in your pocket.
-were talking about apple here, not microsoft, updates are often because theres good support. Yes, some of the updates are just to stop jailbreaking, but the iphone gets a major update every year, when was the last bb major update? Im in no way a apple fanboy, but i can see the obvious. Im a very open minded person and i see stuff for what it is.
-I haven't seen anyone not be able to grasp the fact of a full touch screen. My 2 year old daughter can use it, my gf's 4 year old nephew can, 7 year old niece, 11 year old niece, my ex(18 when we were together) could use it, i can use it (im 21-22 when i had it), my mom can use it (44), my grandmother can use it (55). I don't know anyone older than that...but thats a pretty broad range. Try giving a 2 year old a blackberry and tell me if they can use it...at all. try giving anyone a blackberry that isnt tech oriented a blackberry and see if they can use any of the features within an hour of having it. iphones are the easiest smartphone in the world to use, theres no debating that. The full keyboard and small screen on the blackberrys make them more "scary" for non-tech oriented users.
-i was talking about a camera flash, which most blackberrys still dont have. Also as for flash memory, as i said earlier, most blackberrys out there right now are curves and pearls, and they can hold a max of 8gb. No where near 32 gb.
