My first job was working in the Lease Renewal Office at Al Palladini's Ford dealership, but only got that from take your kids to work day. They put me to work and I ended up getting a weekend/March break job out of it at $8.50 an hour. That was umm 7 years ago I think. LOL! I am far from old, but that makes me feel old! I have done office work and retail ever since as part time just because of school.

lol

this post has been entertaining to say the least and made me laugh a few times.

Grats on the job, its a start and could have been way worse.

my first job was pumping gas when I was 13 for $2.50 an hour, dam it sucked in the winter.

Cant be "ballin" when your pcokets are empty and your outa gas.

Red face

Hmm... in the mid to late 90's I was up at 6:00am to dig 4 ft trenches in Coburg for industrial irrigation systems & drill holes in wood frame houses for central vacuum & home alarm systems, all for $8.xx/hr.

Don't need to see those days again & I've come a hella looong way since, glad to say...

So I am now inputting at this point that a job is a job; money is money! As long as you are getting a pay cheque there is no need to complain lol! It is a part time job, no one expects it to be perfect! That is why it is only part time because if it was full time you would go insane!

so today i thot about how bad i iddnt wanna work there and i went onto the website for Oil Changers, another express lube place and i saw that they had a location in markham and it was "comming soon" so i called the number and spoke to the owner, i told him i was interested and i wanted to apply and he told me they were still juss working on the store putting up shelves for the gran opening on friday and i went in, talked to him and the manager and they liked my personality and the way presented myself to them and he said he'd call me but consider myself hired and yea thats my story today so im back in the oil and filter business but except now, i dont have to lie to the customer and tell them that their tranny is gonna fall off if they dont change the oil in it right now for 200 dollars
