WHAT AGE DO YOU ACT? Read a great 'blog quiz that asked that q. Interested to know what the consensus is:
Are you a young person who acts older or an older person who acts younger...loosely based on the opinions of others.

I would have to say this generation doesnt act "their age" compared to past generations. Why? we dont need to grow up like our parents and our parent's parents did etc. We live at home longer, goto school longer and this extends our "youth" so its fair to say that most people act younger than their age as can be seen based on this website alone. We got older people doin the same thing that 16yr olds are doin and heck some of the 16yr olds act more mature than some of us older folk. I believe that the unstable nature of things in this day and age dont give us the urgency to want to save and stock pile like older generations so we basically live in the moment and are a wasteful generation but at the same time have the most fun than any other generation. So, you ask what age do I act? Am I older person that acts young or vice versa? I act like most people in my generation, now is it considered old or young? you'd have to ask somebody looking in from the outside...but I'm sure they would say I act young but its all subjective and an unbiased conclusion cant really be reached.

Nice long post, C.M. *i think i'm contagious*... =)
Good response, thanx.
But take away all the generational opinion as far as what our parent's generation was like...I agree, the way a person acted at 27 (in, for example, 1968) is, no doubt, completely different than a 27-year-old individual in this day and age. But perhaps my question was somewhat cloudy...
Simplified: do people think you are younger than you are or do they think you're older than you are...let's base this on, say, looks, goals, actions, lifestyle...or, to a certain extent, is age a state of mind in today's society?

age aint nuthin but a number.
if we were to generalize I would have to say I'm young, I dress young, act young, dont really look young but fack, I dress like a ninja for an avatar on a civic's website...how's that for acting old? I live the life of a kid except I can drive, buy alcohol and have to work...but other than that I have no real "adult like" duties...but to a certain degree we're all grown up and kids at heart

...but then again, all you have to do is look at Joan Rivers or Kenny Rogers...their faces are pulled soooooooooo tight from plastic surgery, you could bounce a quarter off their cheeks! So for them, I guess age really doesn't matter at all...infinity of youth? hmmmmm...

as you can see, in general people act younger than their biological age would indicate.

I tend to agree with you...although, in a chameleon-type way, I think people blend in with their current age dynamic...in other words, if you're a 22 year old, but with people who are 32, it changes the state of behaviour. What do y'all think?
