Flowers are cool. I think a single rose is more classy, but if you wanna send them then do a nice bouqet. Still nothing beats a serenade! lol.
Or do it Top Gun style and get a whole bar to sing her a song. :P

haah i'm not sending anyone flowers, we were just having a discussion at work, because someone brought it up and i was like i don't like sending flowers i think it's unoriginal, and that got all the ladies on my floor up in arms, and seeing as it's mostly girls on my floor i thought asking ppl on here would give me more ammo... but clearly it's just me hahaah

Smile Flowers and women...

1st of all, each woman is different, so it all depends. Flowers sent to the workplace can seem ostentatious, but some girls love that showy sort of display. I thought the idea given above of leaving one rose (that's leaving a rose, not 'dropping a rose', haha) in random places is a good one. For some reason, we girls, even the most logical, level-headed ones, just melt at the thought of being given flowers...go figure!

That being said...a text msg on a cell phone can turn a bleak moment bright and is very intimate. It's the surprise factor that brings the smile. I once got a drawing on a restaurant napkin that meant more than the time I was sent 12 dozen roses...

And remember, u can NEVER EVER go wrong with diamonds and expensive jewellery!

depends on the relationship and how you know the person.. eg. if you just like a girl but she doesn't really know and you send her two dozen roses with a note out of the blue.. thats kinda weird.. sort of overpowering for the situation.. but if you're dating and its a special occassion or like you said need to get out of the dog house then yeah it's a nice gesture..

the single life lol - oh I love being married, living in our own place, growing up and moving on in life. Its great

Back to topic, flowers aren't gay

I could've swore like a year ago or some **** some guy wanted to surprise his women with a rose, so he stuck it down his pecker hole (thorns and all), and had to go to the hospital. His women was so impressed to see it there, but when he couldn't get it out, hell broke loose. Cant remember the rest of the story...

True story, heard it on the Edge files

when I worked in the other department at work where 50% of the peopel were women .. when one got flowers the guys in the office were pressured into sending flowers out .. it got to the point where they'd come up to you and recommend a florist shop and even dial your phone.

so we did the right thing .. we contacted their boyfriends/husbands and told them that recieving flowers was against company policy...
