well some ppl stayed simply because they didnt have any means of transportation to get outta the city, or once outta the city they wouldnt have a place to stay.
its pretty nuts down there in new orleans right now, according to CNN some places are on the brink of anarchy and cop cars are running out of gas and therefore can't patrol the city anymore. there's virtually no way out cuz all the highways leading out of the place are ruined.
on top of it all, the hurricane damaged oil rigs, some have even capsized and sunk. this has slowed gulf coast production to only 4.8 % of normal levels. therefore expect to be paying about $1.00 - $1.30 per litre for the next few weeks

Lets go steal a tv and not be able to watch it cuz we have no power nor cable television, better yet, lets steal a brand new 10 million dollar yacht and drive it around town, no1 will notice, nor will i be able to fill up with gas
