Kevin O'Neill FIRED!! ha ha

i think this was a good move by the raptors...KO was an ego-maniac and he played favourites..lamond murray is a decent player...of course he's gonna start off slow cuz he didn't even play last year due to injury...he played archibald...when he could have played moiso..i know we lack a big man and a true point but come on...we have the talent to be ahead of the likes of boston and such...in the east we are a playoff team..no doubt...KO's offensive plays were mostly iso's for vince..vince is good @ creating for others but you can't try and run that everytime...other teams catch on quick..

they better bring in people who will make smart personnel decisions..

no more loser coaches!!!

byron scott or doc rivers!!! haha

i am also happy with the firing and also hoping for byron scott, KO coaches too much like a college coach giving playing time based on heart and hussle when its should be about skill, Lamond Murray should have definitly got more playing time, and he should have let the offence flow the way it did directly after the trade. Very dissapointed, but hoping for a good draft pick

ohh we watch...ha ha...it's painful..but we watch...hopefully they can land ben gordon...i think he'll play well for us...he proved it in the ncaa tourney...or if we get a higher pick..trade down maybe with teams who have multiple 1st rounders (boston, atl)..i wouldn't mind seeing carter go but he does bring people to the arena...it's pure marketing as well...i'm hearing things like vince to phx..for marion + 1st rd pick...or carter + 1st rnd pick to la for kobe...so i dunno we'll see..

we need a good pg..backup pg..and good bench guys...most of the guys on our bench were useless cuz KO was a b!tch..so when they did play..they sucked cuz they never get any opportunities..obviously if you don't play u'r gonna suck if u'r thrown into the fire... ...ohh well...go ping pong *****!!!

Vince was fairly reliable this year; he played 73 games. Although, I would listen to offers and pull the trigger if we get back something good or better.

I agree completely. I got sick of seeing Michael Curry, Milt Palacio and Robert Archibald getting significant PT.

see, but i highly doubt we could trade VC and end up with some significant gain on our part... i think we should build our team around him... he's not 100% reliable no, but if we get another good go to guy... and build up a solid bench, we'd be fine... every monster team out there has always had two go to ppl.. even if one is better than the other.. jordan and pippen, twin towers, shaq and kobe... stockton and malone... and the raptors have vince... lol i don't think trading him is the option... he's not the isolation superstar that KO wanted him to be, vince is good when he's playing as part of a team, it's not hard to shut someone down when you know they're ALWAYS gonna get the ball and ALWAYS gonna shoot... only person that'd be hard to stop is shaq... that's why you need another go to guy...

and ya i'm happy about KO and Glen Grunwald being gone... it's about time!

I agree with Alex, continue to try and build the team around Vince. Bring in a smart, cool headed coach & a talented BIG MAN and that'd at least get em into the playoffs.

u'd be surprised bud....some of us are hardcore raptors fans!!

SilverSig is correct. Who the hell are we going to get for Vince? Kobe? nice try...do u guys actually think we can trade kobe for Vince..hell no! Tracey?? Even with Traceys bad back....Vince cannot test Tracey's skills....

I was happy with O'neil's coaching tactics at the beginning of the year. His defensive based style was working pretty good for us. However, his personal issues with players were ridiculous. Because of that, I am happy he is gone!!

Vince is a really good player however I question his williness to win. I think the fawker is content with just being a nba player...no more..no less. He does not have the drive and determination needed to win!! I hate it!! I remember the first game versus the bulls this season. We were in the mist of a bad dry spell...losing 5 in row(i think). Vince gets on the court...smiling like a clown, hugging and jumping around with Davis the rest off the guys. (davis vince). I can't stand that ****. He is a boy playing amoung men! Nevertheless, he is the foundation of the team. I just wish he had a game face and stick through it the whole game. Not dunk the ball and act all bassass....then lose the game!! I hope he changes his s.h.i.t and starts focusing on winning.

in the meantime.....

Build a team around Carter. Why didn't anyone think of that before. Oh wait, they already tried it. Hes a crybaby and has no heart. Trade him to any franchise that will give us a hard working player and we'd be much better off. Carter should be shuffled off to some US team that has bad ratings and attendance so that he can bring the highlight reel to their team and spark some interest. Toronto will never get behind a team that folds so easily and Carter is the small wrinkle where the folding starts. How many times have you seen him go to the basket lose the ball and sit there and whine at the ref for a foul while the other team goes down court and catches a nice little 5 on 4 thanks to Vince's tears. You don't build a team around a player who doesn't play to win.

Vince Carter is not the problem with this team. No one player can lead a team to the promise land by themselves. Look at Kevin Garnett, people knocked him because he couldn't get his team past the first round. This year with the help he has (Sam Cassell and Spree) they should advance. I'm sure if we address our problems this off-season (Pg and Big man) we'll be fine. The real problem is here:
http://www.firepeddie.com

he needs to stay the **** out of the way of the new GM and coach and let them do their job.
