silent si... whenever you're playing around with 'facts'.. like your residency... it's probably a better idea not to advertise... it can always be used against you

haha... i have nothing against you because i don't know you... but then i do agree that they force should use the best... but being best in physical is not enough... attitude-wise... neutral, unbias... there are so many bad cops out there already that's why some people are being pull over for no reason... or that's why there's corrupted cops... i just hope there can be more cops with heart and treat everyone with love...

i hope you can accept my honest opinion and be a good cop and i hope you can make it... not so civic-people won't get pull-over, but i want a safer society... i don't want my tax money going to garbage cops hahaha....

i'll edit this if you find it bad... just pm me... i type this for 20 mins, i just dun wanna click back without posting it hahaha =)
LOL...don't worry...I know what you're saying and I know it's more than physical features. I'll be honest, I can be racist and sexist, same as everybody else out there, but I never use it to intentional hurt anybody or judge them. I use it in humor more often than not. I apreciate the 20 min you spent on typing that LOL.
I wont ask you to edit LMAO!
My point, that you DID understand thankfully was that I don't think they should require a certain number of females/males or certain number of a certain type of minorety. It should be the best of the best, mentaly, physicaly and emotionaly. You can't tell me emotion doesn't come into it if you come up to a bad situation (ie. gun fight, car chase, etc.). You have to keep everything in check mentaly including your emotions.
SurfOfPink, contacts would be GREAT! I'll pm you. Thanks.
Nova Dust, no worries. My intentions may sound kinda wussy, but they are simple and straight forward.
1. I want to make a difference in the community.
2. I want a job that will constantly be a learning process. There will always be thigns to learn as a cop wether it be about how people act or changing law or tacticts. There will always be something new to learn every day.
3. This may sound selfish, but the money and benifits are good, especial if you move up in the ranks. My pention plan can also be carried over since I'm with OMERS through the City of Toronto.
Those are the three most important reasons in order.

i don't think you have a very accurate view of police life.

a fair bit of them turn into degenerate scum with an unhappy family life.

if you are surrounded by criminals.. you may start to take liberties... lines may blur...

you're walking around with a gun.. because people hate you.. your spouse will always be worried when you're at work..

i know a few guys from here and there... one guy is cool but he has a lot of temper issues and i don't want to be the guy to **** him off when he's on duty... i remember he knocked some guy out on purpose once while sparring (i think the guy deserved it though)

another guy... he was alright.. but he said his job is hard cause of the wife and 2 kids... he gets scared he might not be around for them.. and whatnot

Bruce has a point. Everytime I think of an office pulling someone over, get out of his car then walk towards the vehicle and ask for license and registration, the pressure must be tremendous because there is always a possibility of a gun pointing at your stomach and it fires...

that's one reason why superheros only exist in movies.... even a cop (suppose to be hero of the society), they would be afraid of being shot dead... you know, when you're in a occupation, you should have no fear of being in that occupation, and you should do what it takes to get your job done good for the good of yourself and everyone else... atleast that's why my parents always tell me, when you do something or anything, you need lots of courage to accomplish it..... otherwise, it is pointless to do it from beginning till end....

like i see its normal for a cop to feel the stress and tension whenever they are out to stop crime... coz they never know when they'll be shot or what they'll encounter next! however, once you become a cop, you can't put your own life first place anymore..... that's one quality majority cops doesn't have... i'm not saying there's no brave cops... coz i'm pretty sure there's some that do put our lives in his priority instead of his own... and some of those really end up dying and some do end up surviving and should well-deserve some respect... we shouldn't recognize a cop to be a good cop when they are dead...... but also when they were alive.... so to be a good cop, you gotta have no fear, but love in your occupation... when you don't have fear, you won't have tension, then you can control your emotions (ie anger) better... so if a cop lives in fear, i think those cops should reconsider their career.....

so whoever wants to be cops around here and who knows cops... i hope you or they can be good cops and fearless cops who goes out to stop the crime and not let their anger out on us coz they are in fear of bad things might happen to them everyday....

Have you attend a mentoring session yet?
The forces look for impressionable minds. Don't go in there like gang busters and start all like Sgt Slaughter 'n stuff. They want to mold you into what they want. They don't want to see that you are set in your ways. BTW And make sure you spell everything right on your resume or they'll throw it out
