For me, joke is a joke.
Oh don't get me wrong, I have a lot of pride in being a Chinese. But I find this to be rather entertain as it somehow reflects what is really going on around the city and our community.
Me, I don't go around tell people how their English sucks. Why? Cause 99% of these white boys can't even speak Chinese. But the issue here is to separate a joke from reality.

It really depends on the maturity of the audiences viewing the jokes. A joke can be funny and it can be harmful. Just like fire, you can use it to cook food, or you can use it to burn down a house. I am sure Nova's intention here is to give us a little laugh out of our stressful life. I am proud being a Chinese too. Somtimes I speak broken English but I do not feel ashame. ^^

alot of humour in this world is very politically incorrect .... if we decide to just elimiate all politically incorrect humour we won't even have the joke:
"Q: why'd the chicken cross the road?
a: to get to the other side"
so animals rights activists would snap on that in a second as being bad humour.... my point is as I've grown up (23 years on this planet) I've seen this country get tenser and tenser due to lots of races intermigling ... and I think it's because of the lack of humour and the lack of ability of someone to laugh at themselves...
now I dunno if the asian text in the joke here is correct or not ... but I did find it funny ....
a few weeks ago I was call "Gwai low" being a one language person it took awhilke to figure out what that meant ... from what I gathered it meant "white boy" I was called that in a thread about spicy Jamacian patties... did I get mad and all upset over the racist remark (implying I can't handle spicy food because I'm white) no I laughed .... I found it extremely funny because guess what it's true... I can't handle spicy food and niether can most if not all of my family ... making it funny ... realx dude chill out look around and have a laugh it's a short time we are given on this planet to spend it with a pickle up the ***....
