learning to drive stick

so i'm stepping out of the autamatic relm, and going to start driving stick..

are there any tip or tricks any1 can give me so i dont kill my tranny?

Never move the shift lever until the clutch pedal is fully depressed. That goes for both upshifting and downshifting.

That's pretty much the only advise I took from my friends when I learned how to drive a manual.

dont go on hills until your comfortable driving...

But once you learn its easy I am a girl, who is pretty dumb when it comes to these things and I Can do it, so you can!

always drop clutch at 5k. It'll show everyone you mean business.

Always force the shifter into gear.. If you hear a grinding noise that means it's working properly.. Just keep trying, you'll figure it out.

I learned manual going back and forth in a parking space, very carefully

I did it at night so my mom didnt hear or see me lol

thats when i was like 13

starting off on an incline from a total stop can be a bit tricky for a newbie who's worried about rolling back and stalling the vehicle.

what you want to do in this situation is to put your hand brake on when you're stopped and release it simultaneosly as you're pressing on the clutch and applying gas. that way you won't hit the guy behind you who shouldn't be that close in the first place.

i've rolled down a hill a few times. lol...

that sucked, stalled the car over the same little raised part in the road 5 TIMES !!!!
