least we forget...

it's rememberance day, my grandfater is a vetran.

he took peoples lives so we could have the one we do.

show some form of respect in your own way and please buy a poppy today as well.

please don't post at 11, out of respect.

Boer War: 7,400 served; 224 died; 252 wounded.

First World War: 626,000 served; 61,663 died; 174,623 wounded.

Second World War: 1.1 million served; 42,042 died; 54,414 wounded.

Korea: 26,000 served; 516 died; 1,567 wounded.

Peacekeeping and other overseas missions: 125,000-plus served since 1950; 116 died; undetermined number wounded.

Afghanistan and Arabian Gulf region: 8,000 served or currently serving; seven died; 14 wounded.

Currently Reading Pierre Burton's Book Vimy

I find it amazing how Canada was able to Capture that ridge in WW1 I recommend the book to anyone that wishes to better understand that battle

thoughts, prayers......and thanx for all they sacrifced

bought my poppy the second they started placing the boxes out weeks ago..
both grandfathers (rip) were involved in the fight for freedom..one on the fields, the other a ditchman rescuing pows and getting them to the border

Much respect to those that have served in the Armed Forces in any part of the world. I have a few friends in Iraq/Afganistan and I know of another TCC memeber planning on leaving overseas soon also
