Post ..."leave my baby alone!"...

(After reading about jonny_emo's close call, newbie Fembot was just wondering...)

Has anybody here had their car stolen? Was it ever recovered?
Interested in any stories from victims of auto theft.

(Btw, if you're a thief...shame on you! )

i have to say i've never had my car actually stolen, however i have had my last two cars broken into... thankfully no real damage, just alot of **** stolen... it sucks cuz it never feels the same again... that plus i lost ALOT of cd's both times, since then i haven't bought cd's ever again, i just download mp3s and either burn cd's or use my ipod...

Yes, SilverSiG, newbie Fembots need to keep the learning process moving forward! And I thought it was an interesting subject, hope it hasn't already been threaded.

That's rotten that you had stuff stolen out of your cars...twice.

Really slimy--Fembot pity to anyone who goes through that, whether it's the entire car or even the contents--it's still disturbing.

you think the go station is safe?

Bahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

thats like a thieves paradise yo, they know the owners are more than likely to be gone most of the day, and they're always deserted during the day, theres nobody to catch them

I used to know a guy who worked at a gov't building downtown, security guards patrolling, as well as cameras. His car was STILL broken into, in broad daylight, mid-afternoon. Brazen thieves, eh?

you are right...but they have cameras and s*** and also their security peeps patrolling the lots

but i agree though...the guy knows that you r gone for the day and its rather easy than jacking a car off the street. ill keep my fingers crossed....

even with cameras, and security, if someone is trying to open a car, all they have to say it, i lost my keys on the train, or in the station etc

plus 80% of the time, they dont even care if someone is trying to open a car, or how many times have you questioned a person when a car alarm is going off and the person is doing something with a car. every mind their own business and thinks maybe it was an accidental that guy pressed a wrong button on the remote, or accidentally hit the car, but in fact someone is trying to see the security on the car and work on their stealing strategy.

They might not do it that day, might not do it the next day, maybe do it the day after who knows. all I know is public places are the worse places come to stealing cars.

Go station
Cinema halls
Malls
Underground parking (hospital, office, shopping etc…)

Had my first car stolen before , police found it the next day minus buncha parts on it. That was 7 years ago and 3 cars later I'm still paranoid about where I park.
