Talking A little bit of math... very cool

Here is a math trick so unbelievable that it will stump you.

1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2

pretty cool

it'd be cooler if they could get those numbers without you inputting them into the formula... you're just getting back the same numbers you put into it...

I didn't find it all that interesting .. since you are just doing simple number manipulation...

first off you multiply the first 3 digits of your number by 20,000 (thats 80 times 250) you are only adding 1 to get the 250 you subtract later and to hide the fact that after multiplying by 80 and by 250 you have 4 zeros on the end. you then add your last 4 digits in twice .. you are only doing this so that the devide by 2 part works correctly.

it's simple control math... here's another...

take any number between 2 and 9

multiply by 9

add the 2 digits of the current number you have together . so if you picked 2 orginally then multiplied by 9 that would be 18 add the 1 and the 8 together.

subtract 5

find the letter that matches your number A=1 B=2 C=3 etc

think of a country that starts with that letter

take the last letter of the countries name.. think of an animal's name that starts with that letter.

take the last letter of the animal's name and name a colour that starts with that letter.

YOUR AGE BY BEER

This is pretty neat.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute
Work this out as you read ..
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to
drink beer.
(more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1756
...
If you haven't, add 1755.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was the number of times you really want to drink
beers.
(i.e., how many times you want to have beer each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE!

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2006) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO ****** IT AROUND WHILE IT
LASTS.

this one is better.

multiply your age by 666
divide by 3
multiply by 16
add 352
square the result
divide by 143
add 7
multiply by 2
add 1
multiply by 3
add 1
divide by 4
add 16
divide by 2
add 333
multiply by 12
subtract 665

Is that cool or what?
