LoL, Telemarketers

I got a Toronto Star Telemarketer on the phone RIGHT NOW,

Conversation

"Hello, this is ... from the Toronto Star Newspaper blah blah blah for 30seconds"

Sure, let me get the house owner.

*ON HOLD FOR 9 MINUTES AND COUNTING*

Edit:

At 15 munutes, she hung up, oh damn I was going to say "Yea I'm interested, give me details" and than let her talk about her services than say "Houseowner just left how bout calling later"

Y'all mean bastards!

I used to be a telemarketer back in the day when I first got out of school!

But then again, there are good telemarketers and bad telemarketers, and if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Nowadays when they call, I give them tips on how they can be more effective at their jobs.

Then they ask me if I'm interested in buying anything, and I say "No"

ohh well he gave you something to do for 10 minutes.

personally,

if I want the paper I'll call

if I want windows I'll call

if I want a new kitchen, I'll call

thats why I dislike telemarketing, they call me forcing me to drag my *** out of my comfortable computer chair to answer the phone to be asked if I want a newspaper or windows or a new kitchen or whatever... when they could instead reduce the size of the call center and advertise more... then the calls they get will be from people that want the service... end result will be many many benifits... here's a few:

1) I get to keep my *** in the chair

2) the calls they get each one will be a sale (or at least someone asking a quote) I'm sure the majority of calls a telemarketing center makes get to people who don't even ask for a quote.

3) the can reduce staff and therefore lower costs.

As a note: I take issue and hate the principals of telemarketing. I do not hate the telemarketers, because the telemarketers are ussually teens or college students trying to make an extra buck.

speaking about phone calls I got a call on my cell from some guy who wanted to know about renting some retail property so I asked him what number he dialed and he said my phone number to me and I said yes and to hold on, I got a Lady at work to act like she was renting the property... the guy was shocked when she asked for $1000 per square foot and we only had units in 2000 square foot size... it was funny and someone lost some business but thats what you get for given out the wrong number.

All you guys are *********... these people are trying to make some money and you think you are better than them.

Maybe you should all get a job...maybe then your cars would look so bad.

i have a job..
i don't think i'm better than anyone else, i'm just tired of being bothered by people calling me about what i consider useless pimping of their shyt..
i'm not ragging on the person calling, i'm pissed at the ******* that use these people to push their products..

would you call someone with no legs trying to sell shoes??
then why should they call me about services there's no way in hell i could use??
ya think it'd be the guy on the phone that shows up to check out my ducts??
get real..

Telemarketing should be outlawed, it's annoying...

there are better ways to market products/services... frankly I will never deal with any company that telemarkets.

I cant stand them at all...
All I say when they call is "you have the wrong number"

I had "Visa Insurance"call me 3 times in one week to purchace insurance on my visa...
I told them NOOOOOOOOOOOO 3 times ...I dont want it...
They kept calling and calling....
I figured out to that you can say "take me off you list please" and they wont phone you again.

true and if they do call you again you report it to bell canada and according to law Bell Canada is obligated to investigate and if they fine that you did ask the first time to be removed from their list and they called back bell canada is then required to yank their service ... same with junk faxes

Found it quite unprofesional for CIBC VISA service to call like that...

Not to mention those were the times they caught me at home...so who knows how many times they called all together...
