I think it is important to mention here that not all Jews are pro-zionist (for the state of Israel).

I see Israel for what it is. It is the occupation of another's land.

For views like mine, I am often criticized as being a "self-hating jew", which I find offensive. To be critical of zionism, does not make me any less Jewish.

Hezbollah is not a group I favour but I don't view it as a ********* group. The idea is ridiculous.
I'm not arguing I've given up on the circular comments all i want to do is defend my Quote that has given so many people ulsers
and lost sleep. I repeat I was not branding all Palistinians animals (I highlight this) I was commentine on the animals (read carefully folk this will only be said once more) who take it in their own hands to play god (a concept people on this post have questioned but nonetheless) and blow themselves up taking many people with them. If someone wants to dispute that these actions are right then let them do so but to do so would be siding with terror as a universal concept. I did not brand a whole group I was only commenting on the lack of judgement that is apparent elsewhere.

(Dont blink when you read this thread otherwise you are going to miss something) and I dont like repeating myself.

Bruce it seems that you cannot be comforted by anything you seem like quite an angry person Oh and by the way in defence of jcrelaj. she too would have 2000+ posts if she replied to all posts with mind numbing bull****

85% of Lebanon has been affected by this bombing....buildings demolished...300+ ppl dead....and no one in the international community is even saying a word? That is the most shocking....

This speaks volumes in the amount of influence Jews have in the world....ppl are scared to speak out against Israel and it's ********* government...

Or maybe this Lebanese campaign is a distraction from the Palestinian situation? We are not hearing as much about the Gaza invasion and killing of civilians in Palestine much since this Leb campaign took effect.....

Israel is a ********* state and anyone that opposes this should look around the world and see what is happening....destroying a country and killing innocent civilians to rescue 2 ****ing soldiers is absurd....absolutely unjustified....

from the other side terrorism and countries led by ********* factions are out to destroy everyday life and bombings in the middle of crowded streets cannot be condoned by anyone who believs peace is possible. and if one of those 2 soldiers was your brother or friend you wouldn't be shrugging it off

Both side must stop but once one side stops the other wins its a catch 22 folks just like this damn thread.

Either way the moral of the story is I stand strong behind what I believe in as I can see most of you do too and I defend my people as all non-cowards should (i.e. defend their individual groups). I'm definately not here to make friend because Judging by my seemingly minority opinion on this forum I can see I won't, but again I stand strong for my beliefs and opinions and i will until the end. I defend everyones right to have an opinion and act accordingly but fense sitters and pot stirers alike should be ashamed for meddling in a cause they are not part of. An attack on a Jewish state is an attack on the people who back the state this is why I felt I needed to voice my opinon. Noone seems to be going anywhere with these posts so if someone would like to discuss further without making me dizzy with circular comments my pm box is open for discussions.

you should have more seeing how you posted 5 mind numbing bull**** posts.

if molecular science is wrong, then almost all medicine is useless, and nuclear bombs are made up.

I think the power of a nuclear explosion used with knowledge of molecular science can do much more to show truth than a book talking about some sadistic omnipotent being who prides himself as the most glorius and wants to be worshipped to no end.

i'm not angry per say. i let it all out.

Ignorance again....you don't care about ppl's lives b/c it does not directly affect you....

Did you ever think these ppl (both sides) have families and kids that will now be orphans or even die? Did you think of the people that have no food or work b/c their farm land was destroyed or their company shut down b/c it was bombed?

The problem with you Jason is that you don't seem to be culture oriented.....That's fine b/c that is what u chose

however you cannot say you don't care b/c they dont affect u....after all these are human beings and you should care b/c we all live in one world...one people

For instance....when the bombings in Mumbia(Bombay) happened not too long ago...I was upset to see so many innocent ppl die due to the extreme ideology of a ********* group....however on the other part you have to understand their actions were a response to other factors....and so on and so forth....

nevertheless....events around the world, especially that of a war btw a superpower (Israel) and other countries such as Leb and the Palestinian ppl who don't have anything more than tanks....look at the death toll....13:1 in favor of Lebanon.....that should be something you should think about...
you are abolsutely correct I haven't experience war. and Quite frankly I'm not going to. I was lucky enough to be born in North america and I ain't leaving to find trouble anytime soon. sure I don't hide the fact that I'm apathic towards people's situations over there. but thats because this isn't a new conflict. Lebanon and Isreal have been in a state of war for years. Sure Isreal Pulled out in 2000 and Sryia pulled out in 2004 or 2005 but a pull out is not a peace treaty. sure it wasn't the government of Lebanon that took Isreali solders hostage on the lebanon Border, it was a militant group that did that. but they did it on a war zone area and left across a order to the side that was deemed to always be the enemy by Isreal, since they were still at war with Lebanon. so you have to wonder how that act looks to the isrealis.

but hey I'm digressing from my stance of not giving a **** to explain that. just remember, North and South Korea don't shoot at each other but there is no peace treaty, only a cease fire in place. you don't have to shoot someone to be at war with them.

now this war (lets call it what it is) is between 2 soviegn nations and is nothing along the lines of a ********* attack, on either side. Sure I felt bad for the victims in India at that train bombing, but that was a terror attack. 2 countries sending Rockets into each other's country for the sake of killing their people is war, plain and simple. it is a regional war and I'm not going to pick sides. if I had to pick sides I'm only setting myself up for conflict with other in my life in Canada, the other being people who pick the opposite side.

And Bruce is right, if you really care about it .. go march down to which ever countries embassy it is that you agree with and see fi you can sign up for their Military. put your actions where your Mouth is. Hell When Spain had a civil war just before WW2 I'm sure people here sat around and talked about it .. but many many Canadians went over and signed up to fight. they were brave enough to put their actions where their mouth is.

I believe in War there is no right side. no Just cause. I believe all sides (there is more then 2 in this case) are wrong. I believe they are all equal in their stupidity. if Canada was this stupid we'd be trying to bomb the USA for the softwood lumber dispute, good thing we have cooler heads in north america....

Do I want to see innocent civilians Killed? Nope, I'm totally against that .. but civilians aren't even considered humans to the military people they are just "Collaterial Damage" imagine if that buzz word was used in WW1 and WW2.

I do think if this conflict widens from a regional conflict you will see Europe and Canada sitting this "world war" out. however I don't see this as going past a regional conflict.

NOW for the big question. Why arn't the Canadians that are in Lebanon home yet? I'm very angry at the level of incompetance our embassy and foriegn ministry has shown. people are told to go to the port then told they can't board and to go back to wherever they are staying. that is a shame and something every Canadian should be outraged over.

and yes peopel will again be pissed by my apathy, but hey it's better then pretending to care and not doing anything. I'm being Honest about my feelings and view points. At least my actions match my feelings and words on the subject.

as for my feelings about other cultures. I love other cultures and I love to meet peopel and make friends with people from other cultures, and I am friends with peopel from other cultures. Hell I'm a white guy growing up in scarborough, not like there was many others from my own culture to be friends with. if I wanted to have friends I had to let down my guard.

as for the super power business. sure Isreal is a super power. but would you bring a stick to a gun fight?

Religion provides comfort where science lacks
science has things like medicine, technology, and critical thinking skills (ie engineering).. religion has old wives tales and tradition.

Science is a religion in the sense that it is a belief system.. the difference is that science is based on logic... and religion is based on tradition.. what other people had to say... which is based on nothing but fear, ignorance, and tradition.

Most 'religious' people aren't even religious... they claim to be followers, but act contrary to their alleged belief systems and feel no guilt.

If you are Christian, Muslim, or Jewish (not a water down version, which accepts what the people demand) you should not only not be have any premarital sex, but you are also not supposed to use birth protection, nor are you supposed to do it for fun. It is for procreation only.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but sodomy (defined as sexual conduct outside of vaginal intercourse) is a sin. This means not only **** sex, but handjobs, fingering, and oral sex.

Anyone altering belief systems to match their own is a moronic hypocrite in my eyes.

If you claim to believe in something, you should believe in all aspects, not just a few.

expensive cars, clothing, and living in excess does not show love for fellow humankind, and only shows interest in material wealth and recreation.

I fail to see how a religious person can justify a sportscar.

I find my behaviour is far more ethical than people who do good when convenient merely for their hopes of an afterlife.

If you are only a follower out of fear, than you're not really a good person. You are pretty pathetic.

I really wish I had the funds to start my own island and get away from the international community of crazies.

You're all going to hell anyway.

LOL....you are missing the point my friend...and once again being ignorant by telling me to sign up for the military....

do you see the Lebanese army partaking in this war? NO....so why would I go sign up for the military when this is a war btw a militia and the Israeli army? Come on Jason...exercise some common sense....

Reason I am sympathetic towards the Lebanese ppl is because I AM LEBANESE.....not b/c I wish to start a debate.....of course I'm going to support my people, NOT the militia group, but my people b/c they are the ones who are being displaced....who are being murdered....its just natural to stand by your people.....

You would be surprised to the number of people in Lebanon who do NOT support the militia group...however the Leb Gov can do nothing to stop the militia....and speaking with people back home on a daily basis, they are saying how the country is in ruins......

And I am going to a rally on July 22....so I am doing something about it....

Well lets see here.....if all you have to defend yourself is a stick and you are being attacked...would you sit there and take the pounding or try to inflict as much damage as you can by using what is at ur disposal?

Hell...the army doesn't have the weaponry the militia has....so you tell me what they are going to do to stop Hezballah? nothing....

This however is a good pt...but the amount of Canadians that need evacuation is almost 2:1 vs the USA....

But it's a slow process and at this pace...maybe i'll see my family in a month's time....

No, you humbly admit defeat and agree to terms. When you have a chance, you act swiftly, you poison their water (doesn't have to be literally) and kill them all.

i think harper is doing what he can. ppl should stop ragging on him.
first of all , its the liberal bastards that left him with no ships . afterall, they didnt think we needed them, so harper had to go out and rent them!
in the end, these ppl need to stop whining. they choose to vacation in a place that is known to be dangerous and has ********* influence even in their parliment. they should be happy to be escorted out at taxpayers expense. yes, they do lack some organization, but its a crisis afterall. canada is doing the best they can. the thing that bugs me the most is those who chose to leave canada and call lebanon their home for 10+ years or whatnot, not paying any taxes..then in a time like this, they are complaining about the job canada is doing.
in the end, i think harper is doing a great job. ppl need to learn how to be grateful.

Well if you are Lebanese then hey, you have a right to complain about what is happening to your people. Hell, I'd expect you to do it.

However I am Canadian, 5th generation here, so I really don't care about a regional conflict ont he other side of the world. I do care when Canadians are hurt, or killed.

Anyways, as for a stick versus gun fight. I'd do exactly as Bruce Stated. surrender and then hit them when I had the ability too. that is mostly Israel's problem they won a few battles and gained some land and now the Militia is being subversive and hitting them in Guerrilla warfare (which happens to be very effective, for example look at Nam.)

As for supporting the Guerrillas I never said all Lebanese support the actions of the Guerrillas, I'm sure after the decades of distruction that lebanon has been through the people just want to be left alone. Part of that would be seeing the Lebanese government maybe extending the Olive branch and asking for the international communities help in routing out the Guerrillas and disarming them, so that this doesn't happen again.

You have to make an effort to remove radicals from your country, if you don't you could very well end up as target for some other countries military actions. Then again I could be considered an evironmental radical, but that doesn't mean I'll see a military option.

As for hand to hand combat, I knew a former ISS guy that freaked on a student in College, the Student didn't have a chance.. (but lived)
