did she invite the whole office or only a select few? I think it's kinda tacky when you invite your work to your wedding....it's fine if your close to one or two people, but the whole bloody place, who wants to really see those people outside of work lol, I guess it's just a cash grab for some...

We are all REALLY close here at work. As for if she invited everyone? No idea. Our actual office only has 10 people in it in which 2 of them are engaged.

I guess you can say if we put up cameras in our office, you'd understand why everyone (if everyone) was invited. I talk to her on a regular basis tho as well. SOOOOOOOO, yah!

Anyone wanna be my date ? (lets get it done easy)

Oh ok, Im thinking like 80 person office or more, 10 can understand if your close like that...

Terry your not coming, you havent been invited...and we've booked our DJ already...maybe you'll be someone's date lol *wink*

Matt, I think alot of weddings have turned into cash grabs and they shouldnt, they should get back into what it's about... celebrating the day with friends and family...celebrating the love they have for one another...
not lets invite a shyt load of people to get a shyt load of money!

TERRY! MUHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! *pause* MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

As for weddings being cash grabs.....dont get me started. 4 years ago a 20 year friendship was ruined due to this. My sister, my brother and I were in a wedding party and thats what it was, a cash grab. It made me sick. Better yet, we were pretty much fill-ins for the wedding party just to make it full and for us to give alot of money..

What some people dont understand is that the tux cost money to rent, the stag cost money to put on, etc. There are so many hidden costs when you are involved in being a wedding party that the groom and bride dont understand unless they have been in a wedding party before, or they are just morons and are in it for the money....grrrrrrr

Like honestly, what kind of wedding party has to pick up all the bottles of beer, liquor after the reception is over? Are you kidding me? We are there to have a good time and celebrate yet we have to clean up bottles. No man, **** that.

here's one way to make you think if you're really in love. if your gf/bf got into a really bad accident and needed your help for the rest of her/his life...would you still marry her/him? AH HA!

i totally would still marry ed. no hesitation.

i cant wait to spend the rest of my life with him and grow old with him and we cant wait to raise our children together.

Totally would too Shazza, I would..

Steve, I agree with you... about the money thing..but playing devils advocate here for a minute, when you agree to be in someones bridal party you take on responsibilities, you also take on paying for your outfit and a gift. I recently had a gf of mine bail as a bridesmaid cause she said she couldnt afford it, personally I think she didnt want to help with the wedding planning, not that Im asking much of anything to be honest, I think she would much rather spend her money on other things, she actually had the nerve to ask me if I was paying for her dress , hair and make up! when I told her no, that Marty and I were paying for the wedding and that was enough, thats when I got a TEXT message, yes you heard right a text message saying it was too expensive.

and Terry you'll be pleased to know that our DJ is a radio personality we didnt get some loser dont worry...

Dont get me wrong Mandie, I took on those responsibilities of paying for everything. But when the person the mother of the bride has the nerve to go up to my mom and start yelling at her because she isn't helping clean up after the wedding reception, thats a slap in the face to me and if I seen this, I would've flipped. To this day, she has yet to apologize. Then we overhear that they were not happy with the gift we left (a hefty lump sum of cash). I have yet to talk to the bridge/groom since the wedding. We weren't even invited over the next for the after party thing and they are our next door neighbours. I am missing alot of details in this, but you get the jist of it, I hope.
