yeah but don't forget the negative PR she's been getting, this could be the worst of it all depending on how the public reacts. she may never be able to sell msde under her name anymore.

You think she got off easy because she was a celebrity???
The only reason she went on trial was because she was a celebrity. If you owned stock in a company and your stockbroker told you that the CEO of that company was dumping his stock what would you do?
The US financial industry needed a grandstanding attention grabbing display of them dealing harshly with corporate corruption. Bring in Martha Stewart who everyone has heard of(a real accomplishment in America since its populated mainly by the ignorant), and coincidentally has not dumped millions of dollars into the Republican party. Now it looks like something is being done to stop the rampant corporate abuse thats going on. Oh and everyone hurry up and forget about Halliburton, there's nothing wrong with handing them a blank check in Iraq, nothing at all. I mean it happens every day when somebody needs something done they just call up the first corporation they can think of and tell them to spend as much money as they deem necessary to accomplish the task, and then add 5% profit onto every dime that they "needed" to spend on $40 cases of Coke.
If you think that Martha Stewart was a significant part of the corruption that takes place every day and that she deserves to go to jail then congratulations, you are now officially gullible enough to vote in the US.

Hope that 60 Gs of stock was worth the 250 mil she lost on paper!
They made an example of a little fish. Hope they go after all the perps as vigorously...they won't
